The wind finally just started to die down a little. Winds were steady between 20-30 mph with gusts near 40 mph. It's been a cold, wet 34 degree snow, blowing sideways all day.

Put some more wood in the wood stove and hunker down more coming tomorrow.

Save your money on termination hardware. Use the same wire line knot you use for termination on wire dipsy swivel. 

Never heard of doing that to a down Rigger cable . IMO that's crazy . Not my probe but each there own

You take the points condenser and backing plate out. New kit comes with new backing plate pick up a gauge to set the gap and plug two wires in positive negative .

I converted my points to the hot spark conversion kit 8 years ago . Still has factory coil . Haven't been under the distributor cap since the application of the hot spark kit . Did change the plugs about 3 years ago. When pulled spark plugs they were sand brown . I have a 4 banger Delco distributor.

Very true can't stop mother nature. But you can prepare when you know you're going to get high water from the winner melt down and spring rain . Should have made the Lake lower while they could have . Now everything downstream it's flooded out and it's to late to let water down in Ontario

Was a slaughterfest today , cowbells Gambler spinning glow did most of the damage . The big Lakers was crushing the mi stinger just above the cowbells. Carbon 14 in the D&w super slim did pretty well also just above the bottom. I couldn't get the high marks to go today 20 to 40 down . I fished the east side had 42 degree water on top. These fish are healthy and they have some shoulders to them. They are gorging on saw bellies. I cleaned a couple of them I couldn't believe how many saw bellies came out of their belly. I don't think they liked my shoes today they were decorating them for me . So I need to tie some new leaders for the spinning glows they were just swallowing them down and the leader to the spinning glow is all Nick up . So I'm not sure what gambler ties his spinning glows with thinking 20 lb maybe .

I didn't have an umpire pass last year the last yearI had one is the sticker you put on the window I now have the card so I called Cayuga State Park to ask if I put the card in their machine and they said no not yet in the future but they said bring the empire pass to the Cayuga State Park office and they will issue a parking pass that you can put on the dash . I thought it was a good idea, put the plastic card on the dash end up getting a sunstroke lol

Les that Lakers sat there nice and still cuz I told him I'd let him go if he gave me a pic.

Yours must have been the only trailer in the Dean's parking area this afternoon when I drove by.  Nice to see the water temps and water levels are rising!

I was there from 9 - 2. There was three other rigs in the parking lot when I left. Plenty of water to launch my saber I would almost say normal conditions. I was surprised to see the pay to park machine covered up.
