+1. Also, where you want the rod holder mounted is almost never where they put it!

Have you checked Screwy Louie's, Jon's Little Salmon, Fat Nancy's, etc...? If you have, I'm all out of suggestions.

I find no reference, other than someone asking the same question in a FishUSA forum in 2005. They had no response then, either.

That ? comes up pretty frequently. Search "running copper" or "copper set up" for some of the previous conversations.

I have a huge fly collection - three - one A-Tom-Mik, one Sigg and one Howie (thank you, Narby's). We were just going to start running flasher & fly combos for the first time and then my buddy's engine started acting up. With any luck, I can get them in the water this weekend and I'll let you know how they do compared to each other. In all fairness, I've read favorable reports on some of the Big Weenies as well.

Had a local kayaker recommend your lodging to me recently. Have you stayed there before?

Poonie spoons? He's on this site - search "Poonie" for photos of the spoons.

Can also be used for lubing any left-handed spanners you have lying around. Old joke - there's a million of 'em.

The Trout Underground is fly fishing's fun, independent voice - the home of a writer leading a fly fishing life, and writing about it...
Great gear reviews. Tom Chandler's articles on wading boots were really helpful to me just recently. I got a deal I couldn't pass up on waders and needed good boots to go with.

Sounds like fun. I never got past chanting "10 o'clock, 2 o'clock" in the park with a practice tippet.

I don't know Ray personally, although many on this site do. He's rarely seriously but he's always good-natured. Personally, I'd have suggested checking your halogen fluid but then, I'm a smart-a@@.

If my leg doesn't heal soon, I'm right there with you Rick. Got spoiled for years with private access to 180 acres in Bristol until the owners sold and headed for Vegas a few years back. Been left hunting scraps ever since.
Might have to try combining trib fishing & hunting this year. Hang a ladder stand next to the creek (bordered by orchard) and haul up both pole & bow...

From a post on Thursday: "Heard a report of kings entering the estuary. My guess is all that rain fooled a small pod andthey came in and probally turned right around and headed back out."

Welcome aboard. Caught my first king this year and it really is a blast. This is a great site - search for what you need and ask for what you don't understand. Lots of help.
