Looking to get out of Sodus tomorrow, have about a 2 hour drive to get up there, weather says 1 to 2 footers for tomorrow, which doesn't seem bad. Just looking for some info on weather if its worth the drive up. Thanks.

I tried the 5 gallon bucket thing also. Didn't get a reading.

They said they replaced the water pump and thermostat and told me it was fixed.

I've had a bad day and on top of that right before I left I drop my probe on the cement. Got home tried to get readying off it could not but not sure if it needs to be in the water to work. See the red light flicks. Was wondering if there was a way to test it at home to see if I broke it or not. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I'm no boat mechanic that's for sure. I will look to see how to take it apart. Wonder why the marina didn't take it apart when I took it there to see if I had a blockage. Instead of just changing parts to change them.

2nd time in a row now. Took the boat out and it over heats at low speed. I took it to the marina the 1st time it happened they changed the water pump and thermostat they told me it was fixed. So I took it out today...bam right off they bat when at trolling speed the temp shoots WAY up to smoking hot but when I kick it in it cools right down at higher speeds. Doesn't make sense to me. Going to take it back to the marina but was wondering if anybody else has experienced this that could guide me to a fix.. sucks driving all that way wt friends and end wt an egg. Its a sport craft fisherman 250. OMC I/O 5.7. First time I've had trouble wt my boat since I bought it 5 years ago. Thanks in advance.

Never fished out of sodus. Was thinking abt going up there tomorrow was wonder where to launch at? Have a 24 fter so would need a decent launch place is there one in Sodus ? Thanks

Yes, Down Speed and Temp I double if not tripled my hook ups when I finally got one, what I did was by a used Fish Hawk 840 for cheap and then bought a X4 probe (the 840 probes suck dont even bother) which works with the 840 display and it works great for me. Another thing buy good line and leaders saves alot of fustration and fish. I would get Dipsy's and LC i'm not a fan of Copper myself (just my taste). Tell you what not to buy, Cowbells.....

I agree. I-bay is the craziest inlet I've used on Lake O. Every time I come back usually ard 12 to 1pm it's a mad house trying to get in.

Tough day for us. Only went 2 for 2 wt 2 decent kings in upper teens in 170 fow 80 and 70 down on the riggers. F/F and Spoon both taking one. Hope others were having luck out of I-bay today. Under currents were crazy today that's for sure. Any info on I-bay would be much appreciated kinda of new to that port and only done good a few times that I've fished it now.

Trying to get out tomorrow. Was trying either I-bay or Oswego. What would you guys suggest ?

I've been in the Sport now fishing Lake Ontario for 3 years now and for the life of me I can't get spoons to trigger for me, I've tried everything. All different types of spoons/colors, I use leaders, flouro leaders, i've tried light line 12lb all spooled on my reel. I can get F/F combo's, I started expermimenting with Twinkies Rigs and Meat Rigs last year and was able to get those to fire, and even got J-Plugs to go. I dont know what I'm doing wrong, any help would be appriecated.

I'm not sure if your from the Keuka Lake Area or not, but this weekend is probably the worse weekend to fish Keuka. Unless your going out real early and coming back in by 9am forget about Trolling, the rec boaters will be out by the droves. I would stay away from Keuka Lake this weekend if you want to fish.

Says South Wind for Sunday, would that direction of wind make it a bumpy ride out of I-Bay? Only fished that port a few times don't know much about it.
