  1. Seemed ok, We launced about 4:00 am. Not to many people there yet. The launch will be nice once they put the other new docs in. That rail sucks. I always bring some wet shoes if need be. If folks dont power load should stay real nice. I think the fish where in real shallow. Just my thought.
  2. I wouldn't eat it. But would drop it off at dec. Would hate to see fish problems on hemmy.
  3. Fished the Tourney on Saturday. Temp dock does suck. Bring your wetshoes!!! Water temp was 55.8 if i remember right. Fishing was slow only put 2 fish in the boat. 1 laker just under 5pds and 1 bow to small. Released him. Some others said they got skunked. There was a 13.25 Laker leading. when i ckecked the board last. Not much action on the south end. I think it takes awhile for Canandaigua to setup.
  4. Yes they where seems like it takes awhile for that lake to set up. Had the rainbow for supper last night with a nice salad. Boy that was good.
  5. Thanks, Took awhile to see what they wanted. Only 2nd time out this year. Marked allot of fish but they didn't like what i had to offer. Until i put some silver and blue on.
  6. Fished Canandaigua lake this afternoon for a few hours. Surface temp were 72" Washed about 10 different color spoons and silver and blue was taking most of the action. Ran the rigs down between 25ft and 85ft. Didn't find much for bait fish. So trolled in the middle of lake in about 190 ft of water. Two rainbows through one back to small and one decent laker. All ready for the grille Sunday.
  7. Thanks for the report on the fishing derby results. Great job on your wife taking 3rd. You folks put allot of fish in the boat. Awesome job.
  8. They should allow a 10 lake trout limit on Keuka lake. There is way to many in there. And not enough forage for all trout species. In my opinion. You don't get very many big ones out of there anymore.
  9. Walleye always opens 1st Saturday in may. Best time is at evening when other boater are gone cast stick baits toward shore usually works before the weeds go crazy. Most of the time they are stuffed full of alewives. And wont hit anything. There is some biggins in there. I would believe there are some that would break the new york state record in there. And the pike and tiger muskies are biggins also. As per dec netting. If you can find them and make trolling passes close to them toward evening. As the bite may only last for an hour or so then they wont hit anymore.
  10. Some people put a little dot with spay bomb to mark the end of crete. just a friendly reminder to boaters backing in. seen one guy with a pontoon trailer back over it at Honeoye years ago. 4 wheel drive and smoking his tires.Trying to get out nobody had a chain or tow strap. Hopefully the weather gets better so we all can fish.
  11. Big waste of time and money. Not even putting in more ramps. There was nothing wrong with it in the first place. That will plug woodville right full. Most big boats wont be able to launch. Way to shallow. Most people will be backing there trailers over the end of the concrete.
  12. Awesome job. The fish gods are shining down on you.
  13. Hey, Jerrysz I don't think that was you then. I didn't notice a blue canopy. I run a bunch of different colored spoons and see what they want. Then switch to that. I doctor up some of my spoons with air brush. One i used Tuesday was flat white on bottom, flat black on top with green ladder bar. Anything shiny or silver on it works. I'm no expert so what works today might not work tomorrow. Maybe trolling a little faster or slower can make a big difference. I think we all have day's we get Nada.
  14. Jerrysz, I fished solo on 8-23. Put 4 in the boat. If that was you in the starcraft. On west side just south of Seneca pt. We past each other i was in the alumacraft. Caught my last laker off that point.
  15. Finally after about 3 weeks off not wetting a line. I managed a solo trip to Canandaigua. Launched at woodville at 2:30 in the afternoon. By the time i had my gear set up and in the water. Bam downrigger pole goes off. Rainbow on came out of the water 5 or 6 times. caught another bow but to small put back. And managed 2 lakers nothing of any size kept one other one went back. surface temp was 74.8 All fish caught on spoons. Any where from 15 down to 75 ft marked allot of fish. Stayed in 120 165 ft of water. Weeds where scarce and minimal fleas. Had 2 hard releases but no fish also. All in all fun day on the lake. Can't wait to get out again. Bows are very fat and healthy. Canandaigua rocks.
  16. That's going to suck For allot of people. I'm closer to the south launch. Thanks for the info.
  17. Awesome job on the fishing. Good pictures also. Keep up the good fishing.
  18. Awesome job. And great report. Great pictures. Hope to be out there this weekend.
  19. Hey Chris, From what the Dec told me in bath. The way they have it worded is you cannot have a lager than 10 hp in your possession on the state property. I have a 40 hp with 6hp kicker on 15 ft boat with prop off they said no way. Can't have that bigger motor in my possession on the property. So i am fixing up a 14 ft aluminum with 6 hp.
  20. Nice Rainbow. I still see allot of boats down at Hemlock and Canadice. Wonder whats going to happen. sign says all boats are suppose to be off state property by August 1st. Or will be removed per Dec.
  21. Thanks. We marked allot of fish also anywhere from 30 and down. Found the baitfish and trolled on through a few times. Picked up this bow on the 1st pass. 2nd pass nothing. So moved on and caught 2 lakers. Released them to get bigger and fight another day.
