Just got done driving around since I couldn't hunt and the fields were loaded with deer from 330 on.

Settled in between bedding and food, cut probably 100 set of tracks in my way in, was a pretty long walk. Could of hammered a couple big doe walking in but still waiting for the one.

Skunked for the third night in a row! These deer are beating me up! At a loss as to what to do at this point.

Yea 2 row may have to be the way to go...... once you jump up to a 4 row the $$$ more then doubles. And with only leasing land and not owning it's tough to fork over big time bucks for equipment like that!

Speaking of food....... by any chance does anyone know where I may be able to get my hands on a four row corn planter? Seem very tough to find! We have used 6 row in the past and is just to big for what I need.

Standing Beans would be #1 on my list but good luck finding that, then corn (standing would be preferred ) obviously. Under 35 degrees grain is money. Over anything green should put deer in eyesight. Turnips are usually are go to for me this time of year but wait....... I don't have any left because they ate them all during bow season! First time that has happened for me, usually there are still tons left at this point.

Yup I too run the Accura V2.... awsome gun! The Optima is a great gun for the price. Only difference between the to is the Accura comes with a Bargara barrel. Easy to clean and shoots great!

Unfortunately I also had my kids with me but we were very lucky and all is good! The car that hit me did not fair so well, demolished! Huge eye opener!

Looks like I'm going to be sidelined for a bit unless a miracle happens unfortunately. All I can say is I give GMC Terrain 5 stars on rear end collisions!! What a day yesterday was! GRRR!

I always say to people who are against hunting that " Without hunting the animal (s) have no value, if there is no value it leads to non existence."

Lol, no where near that stage! It's not necessarily about being a "better hunter " just personal preference on what we are trying to accomplish. We have the ground to TRY and kill nothing under 3.5 years old and put alot of time, money and energy into it. And believe me if I was a "better hunter " my tags would be filled by this point! I eat, sleep, and you know what this sport and truely love it !

I think this might be the guy I saw last night. We have elected to give him another year though. The way this gun season it's tough to let him walk!

Attention Buck hunters, make sure you look closely if you take a doe! Bucks have already began to shed their antlers. We have two on camera and of heard of many more. The doe with fawns is absolutely crazy!! Never heard of that before. Unfortunately if she did t get shot and they were born there was no chance for survival through the winter anyway.

Much rather take a hanging picture then not one at all! Congrats, he's a stud! You definitely seen to have them figured out.

5 doe tonight and finally seen a rack! Came into the plot late hard to tell how good he was but was definitely decent. Nice to at least see deer for a change!
