Zero Whitetail sightings this evening! I don't get it .......

My issue with it is not necessarily the weapon it's with SOME of the people that use them! I've heard WAY to many people say "hell if I can use a cross bow I'm going to start "Bow Hunting" , plus I don't even need to take the archery coarse like you did! " Shoot a few arrows and say they can shoot out to 70 yards no problem! And most have never set foot in the woods before!! Hell I even know a guy that MISSED 3 deer with his compound this season and decided to pick up his X Bow because he couldn't make contact other wise Up until a few seasons ago you literally had to be a paraplegic in order to be granted permission to use a x bow now anyone can? How does that work? Again do your time, be a deer hunter and do your practice and I could care less what weapons are used if it is legal. But know matter what it still draws riff raf!

Unfortunately that doesn't suprise me one bit! Exact reason why I am anti cross bow. Alot of people think they are Fred Bear all of a sudden. I know way to many people who have never bow hunted before and we're in the woods this year because they had a cross bow.

Back in the spot where I killed my buck last year on this day. Turnips, winter weat, and oats in this plot and it's the biggest plot we have. Should start shooting these damn deer that comes from the neighbors property then leaves when they are done eating. Plots have been completely devoured !

These few days that have passed and that are a head ate worthless for movement! Especially in the mornings and mid day. The whole herd is recovering from the the rut. And not to mention it is gun season and if your ground is being pounded like half of mine! The other 200 acres the deer don't even know it gun season but they still are back to bed early before you even get there just like early season. Evenings are your best best right now. Let a few days pass then you will see deer in their feet and back on cameras.

Another slow day for me. A doe with two fawns. This evening 3 doe busted me climbing in yhe stand and a small spike is all. Really have to grind this time of the season!

Dead out here right now! A doe with 2 fawns at first light and thata it. Last night was crazy here for me buddy. Had a royal battle break out 40 yards from him. Got to the point where they were even stuck together for a while and we thought we were going to have to step in and help, but thank God they finally pulled apart. He said that 5 other bucks came running in during the fight but nothing over 2 1/2. This guy was the winner of last night's bout!

Wind isn't bad at all! Died right off for the most part. Gusts here and there. 2 deer doing 100 mph that appeared to be being chased by a yote is all I've seen so far. 2 far shots is all that I've heard. Looking for the BIG 8!

Last two sits have been brutal! This rain and wind ruins the fun of being on stand. Not sure how much longer I can take it, soaked!
