  1. For sale: Tohatsu 8hp fourstroke tiller kicker. Great shape, runs very well. Electric start with alternator. Manual lift. Comes with a regular 3 blade prop and a 4 blade high thrust prop. It has a controllking controller. It will need a gas line with the connector(I forgot to take it off the old boat before I traded it in.) I used it for 2 or 3 summers. Best guess is 100ish hours. New lower unit and crankcase oils. $1200 I won’t ship it anywhere(because it would be insane to!), but can meet you within a reasonable distance. Currently located in Bloomsburg, Pa.
  2. Day 2 updates: Managed to get the downrigger base tracks in. Ran the transducers for the Furuno and Fishhawk. The hardest part was peeling back the carpet where the kicker bracket sits inside and cutting the wood deck thinner to be able to fit under and still look clean. Hopefully this whole thread helps someone else in the future. I couldn’t find much on how to do all this, so I had to semi wing it. So far it’s been a success. Next time I get around it will be how to mount the electronics in small real estate around the dash. I have to put some thought and planning into it.
  3. Also, the dealer mentioned a small gadget called VesselView that hooks onto the computer in your outboard and Bluetooth’s info to an app on your phone. It shows alarms/faults if you get any, temps, fuel usage, rpms, engine hours, maintenance schedules and speed. I didn’t get to try it out yet but thought it was a great idea for tracking every little thing on a brand new motor. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. I just purchased my first ever brand new boat. I bought it pretty much stock with the Mercury 150 fourstroke. The dealer put brakes on both axles because of the requirements on trailers in PA to make it legal. This will be a living thread as I get more and more figured out and put together. Eventually I will get my Furuno, fishhawk, radio, canon riggers, gps and kicker all installed. First day home: I knew the kicker would be the toughest part. We ended up having to remove the port side u-bolt, rear side panels and rear deck. The thin metal piece the floor screws to on the transom was in the way, so we dremeled two small squares into it (still can reattach the floor) and will have to trim the deck around the kicker’s bracket. 5 hours later, it was on. It’s painful drilling a hole in a brand new boat for the kicker. It will be way easier running transducer wires with the rear deck out of the way. Also, taking the side panels off allows complete access to under the gunwale to through bolt small tracks for the riggers. You could mount the rigger brackets directly, but I want to be able to take the mounts off if I feel the need.
  5. I just purchased the same exact boat and was trying to figure out the same thing with mounting tracks. I’m going to start a new thread that involves mounting a Merc 9.9 kicker and the downriggers with tracks. The versatrack setup would have been may less invasive and simpler. Small world someone else was trying to solve this also! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    Sold / Closed 1998 Sea-Pro 190WA $9000

This is a 1998 Sea-Pro 190WA. fiberglass with a cuddy cabin. 18.5' long. I haven't ever had this boat surveyed. There is no wood in the structural parts to rot. It's all composite. No soft spots anywhere. Bimini top with full enclosure. Vinyl is pretty clear. I used the front and sides ~1-2 times/year. What's included: 2007 Mercury optimax 150. Fuel injected, great running outboard. Power tilt/trim. It had the air compressor replaced in the spring (it threw a bearing), new water pump August 2018. The lower unit oil is getting changed this week for the winter. Unknown hours, but was fresh water it's entire life (dealer told me a local guy used it on the Susquehanna river before upgrading to a 4 stroke). Baystar hydraulic steering hooked into a Raymarine autopilot. Great for solo fishing! Brand new porta-potti. I opened the box to look at it, and put it back in. Never used. Electronics: Brand New Furuno FCV-528 sonar with a thru-hull Airmar 50/200 transducer. Lowrance Hook7 used solely as the GPS. Uniden UM415 radio Pyle bluetooth/AMFM/aux input stereo Fishing: Dual Cannon manual downriggers Uni-troll 10STX's with matching 12lb Cannon balls on swivel bases. 2 Scotty polymer rod holders Panther Marine kicker motor bracket (for mounting your own kicker!) Trailer: 2015 Venture Bunk. I purchased this brand new in 2014. It has surge disc brakes on both axles (PA required). New tires 2017. Inspected through next spring. The history of this thing: I bought this in 2014 from a family who used it in the Delaware Bay. Before them, a doctor owned it who also used it in the bay. The original motor and trailer weren't the best from being in salt, that's why it has a new trailer and newer outboard. I am the third owner. It had some grounding issues that were fixed with a ground bus (who knew twist and tape wasn't a great ground??) and ultimately set up for trolling. Everything works exactly the way it should or else it was fixed/replaced. I have nearly every receipt/slip from everything that was ever bought or done to it. Some people like tinkering on cars, I like tinkering on boats! I have the titles for both the boat and trailer. It is set to be detailed/waxed, etc. this week. Don't mind the pictures showing a little dirt. The rainforest weather the past few weeks won't let anything look nice. I am selling because I am planning on buying a new aluminum deep V that can take the place of what the 2 boats I own do. Something that can fish local little lakes and big lakes. This boat current resides in Bloomsburg, Pa on the trailer. $9000. Any other questions or such, feel free to message on here or email [email protected]. Thanks!! **Not everything pictured is included (like the tackle and stuff). Just what I have listed above.
  9. Interesting with the parasite. The world is a scary place for a baitfish! I'm happy your success rate is up! The numbers of little fish in Seneca this year remind me of what we saw on Cayuga last year. Cayuga is doing well for most people this year. My opinion isn't weighted as heavy as you local guys, though. You have years of seeing what the lakes do over what I have and make it out way more than I do!
  10. I'm not so sure it's on the upswing yet. Other people who spend more time out can chime in. I'm no expert by any means on the subject. Other lakes around are quietly giving up some good fish. You have to work on Seneca to get something. Others have mentioned on here, but seeing dead baitfish floating around is kind of new. It would be interesting to know what is killing them in the numbers you see. One or two is normal, but seeing a dozen or so that the seagulls didn't get yet is odd! 11. I wish it was more exciting, but that's about par for me. I wish I had 6 of those rapalas. They really seemed to like that one. I only saw 2 other boats out fishing all morning. Neither stayed within sight for more than a couple passes. The smaller fish are pleasant to see anyways. Next year they will hopefully stick around and be bigger! 12. South end, morning. Set up in about 250 FOW just north of the salt plant. Marked lots of smaller bait schools, not many fish around them. Picked 4 salmon under 10" and one around 18" that came off at the back of the boat. All came off the same rod: dipsy out 115 with a rapala scatter husky jerk. Pink and white. Had one random knock off on a green spoon. Lots of weeds and fleas are getting worse. Lots of marks on the east side in less than 100FOW, but seems like it is just weeds suspended or some other junk. We also saw a bunch of dead alewife floating around. Didn't look like anything happened to them. The seagulls were enjoying them from what we could tell.
  13. First real fish. Great Lakes spoon, silver/red down 35 in 55fow.
  14. Super slow. Made it out around 8 from Treman. 2 knock offs from the rigger down about 30 feet in 60 fow. Boards and spoons. Fish are here and there and bait balls are pretty big. Managed a jumbo perch on a gold/black yozuri pin minnow. He surprisingly coughed up a baby eel in the boat. At least something is eating them.
  15. I have a Lowrance X125, transducer and power cable. Works as it should. I just bought a boat and replaced this unit. The boat was is a 2002 so that is the only reference I have about the age of this. $100 shipped to your door (US only) or $90 if you meet me somewhere close by Bloomsburg, Pa. Thanks!
  16. I have a FishHawk X4 LCD (blue backlight) and probe. It doesn't have the depth reading, just speed and temp. No transducer or power cable. I upgraded my kit to the X4D and still have these sitting around. Worked great and only used for 1 summer. Looking for $400 shipped to a US address or can be picked up around Bloomsburg, Pa.
  17. Didn't miss it. Asking $12,500. Thanks! I am enjoying sleeping through the night now because I won't get any more of those for a while! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Boat is located in Bloomsburg, Pa at the moment. I've had a couple questions of where it's at and realized I forgot to add that. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  22. I have a 1997 Sea-Pro 190WA for sale! Included items/specs: 2007 Mercury Optimax 150. Fresh water motor. Runs great! New battery spring 2016. Well maintained, not sure how many hours, fresh lower unit oil. 2015 Tohatsu 8hp 4 stroke kicker motor on a panther bracket. Ties together to the main outboard with a quick release link rod. Fresh oil in top and bottom. 2015 Venture tandem bunk aluminum trailer(model VATB-3625), 4 new tires this year, new spare in 2016. This was special ordered to have surge brakes on both axles (because PA says you have to!). Taillights were changed out with LED's. Has a green bimini top and full curtain enclosure good shape. Sealed with star Brite sealer spring 2016. Front and sides are clean, but clear panels have a slight off color (maybe from lack of use or age? Still easily see through, but not like brand new stuff) The back has been stored and never used. Can't vouch for how clean that is. I installed a Fish-on sports radar arch with rod holders, net holder and 2 Big Jon planer reels/pullies. New planer reel line last week. Also included are 2 Big Jon otter boats and a bunch or clips. Electronics: Lowrance Elite-7hdi GPS/sonar. Uses an Airmar thru-hull transducer. Also has a Lowrance Elite-9x chirp unit. The 9 wasn't working correctly on the trip I took on Monday. Reset the unit when I got home, but no guarantees it is working still. May be sending it in for service. FishHawk X4 depth probe and blue screen. It's not the one that shows depth, just speed and temps. Has Baystar hydraulic steering and a Raymarine EV-100 autopilot. Works great! Just verified it was bled and working. 2 Cannon mag 10 electric downriggers. Comes with 2 12# cannon weights. I have blacks releases for these too. Brand new VHF Uniden UM415BK radio with a 4 foot antenna. Brand new Pyle Bluetooth stereo. Sound is through 4 marine speakers. Has aux/USB input. I will include half a dozen Okuma rods/reels. I'm sure there are some other things on the boat I can't think of. It runs ~40mph WOT, the kicker trolls very nicely. It has fished the finger lakes and a few trips to Lake O and worked well every time. I am selling because kid #2 is due within a month and will be moving to a bigger house soon after. Time is not plentiful for toys right now! Title in hand for boat and trailer. Thanks for looking!
  23. Wildlife Facility Asking Fisherman for Extra Trout for Injured Eagles http://via.wnep.com/IbdXJ I was reading this post and happened upon this story. Coincidence for sure! But another use for lake trout. Something can eat them if you don't feel like planting them for the vegetables to eat. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
