  1. River threw a curve ball tonight. Caught lots of fish but eyes were scarce. Caught several gobies and a few bass did manage two eyes but had to work extremely hard to get them all fish released for another  day. Eyes were caught jigging a lot deeper than normal for me.

  2. Not tying to wish my life away but can't wait to be down there as much as Kevin and  Prof T. Just keep telling myself I am very lucky to experience what I have down there because there is a lot of people that never get to be down there and get that experience.

  3. Thanks Esox and ProfT wish I lived right on the river would fish every night the only bad part is I wouldn't get any thing else done. Hope to see the river again tonight.

  4. Finally hit the SLR after two weeks of missing it due to weather. Went up north where I go earlier in the year to see how the bite was 1 hr and 15 min later had a decent limit jigging homemade spoon post-148929-0-20197000-1468676263_thumb.jpg.

  5. You see some pretty neat stuff down there on the river no doubt. I haven't been down to fish in two weeks weather has been either to windy for my liken or rain hopefully the weather will straighten out for weekend. Have not heard much on the fish reports tight lines.

  6. Way to go Kevin, they had the right guide to get it done. Got a 5 day weekend hoping to fish o  two mornings I have to quit making plans every time I make plans they fall through should just fly by the seat of my pants, No plans just go.

  7.  I am no expert but I usually try trolling against current with heavy bb like 6 to 9 oz.with crankbaits depending on situation if I troll with current I switch with a worm harness and use 3 to 6 oz. I also drift and vertical jig using 1oz to 2 oz jigs there are a lot of good spots up your way from Chippewa  all the way to Lisbon try shoals and dropoffs and points. I  hope this helps. Keep a open mind and listen to other peoples tech. on hear alot of experience fisherman on this board. Don't give up the river can be stubborn at times and other time it seems easy but not very often. Tight lines.

  8. Jigging is the only way when the bite is on, but from my experience trolling more productive most  time and I will be the first to admit I hate it. But it works.

  9. Shad flies were as bad as I have ever seen them around Clayton usually only see them up around Lisbon area , still not as bad as they are up that way.Tried the river tonight , haven't been down there in a while. The bite was slow caught a few bass and some gobies might of had one eye on just for a second but never did get to see it so not sure . Better days ahead hopefully.

  10. Fished indian river lake two different  mornings, group of crappies and gills was first day in one pic.post-148929-0-47242000-1465178332_thumb.jpgpost-148929-0-42538300-1465178457_thumb.jpg . Went back couple days later and got some more nice crappies and gills and a buddy caught the 17" landlock salmon nice little bonus. I never made it down on the.St.Lawrence this weekend to go after the eyes hopefully 4 day weekend this weekend I can get down there a couple times. Seems like when you make plans something always comes up. All caught on artificial and bobbers.

  11. Way to go Prof T and Kevin .Hope the bite stays on hoping to be down there fri. night , sat morning and sat night with the family Hope to see ya"s down there. Tight lines.
