  1. Hi Kappy, I really thought when I posted the Info, some would have tried it by now.. Its where they are,,, Guys would be trolling for salmon and I would be making drift after drift,, killing jumbo lake perch. As I stated I was closed mouth about it.. Guys who read this post need to give it a shot, Sadly I just sold my boat,, an offer I couldn't refuse. I will be looking again for another soon. Doug
  2. john1947 Your absolutely right, I have had great success fishing the lake out in front all the way through October catching huge perch, So here goes guys, I suggest that you go from the center of the River and or at the head of the Summerville pier start searching between 20 to 60 feet of water. Look for the schools, Try minnows, or pan fish jigs with worms or spikes drifting, Some may want to anchor, I suggest drifting and go from there. Do not be afraid of a good breeze,, I have caught big perch all day in 2-3 footers. You will find the fish from center of the River East of the Summerville pier maybe far as a half mile or more East of the pier (Summerville). Make your drift again . If the schools are there just keep working the schools as they seem to move, just keep working back and forth, I f you decide to anchor after while try it. I found the perch out there by accident back in 2006 drifting flatfish for Salmon and trout. I have not told many about this but what the heck. I caught huge limits while guys were all in the bay through October; Let me know how it works out. Good luck all. Doug

Maybe I should try ice fishing..lol never did it. For the guys able to trail there rigs, the fishing until Ice forms should be outstanding with larger fish to be had through December if u can handle the cold. Good luck all and keep me updated. 8. Went out last Sunday got my limit in 6 hours from 9 to 3:00... all nice most 10 to 11 inches some 9's and 12's. and 13's Tuesday Nov 1st, was crazy, started at 8:oo had 50 by 11:30,, just nuts all nice most around 10 some 11 and few 12 ers. Tryed for Pike the rest of the day with no luck. Today November 4 th, 38 nice fish some 12's : and, 3 - 13 inchers the rest 10 to 11, and some 9's... The key for me was a constant move and staying on the Fish,, Sometimes motoring to a complete new spot and sometimes re - anchoring 200 yards at a time... try 21 feet in the morning and going deeper up to 40 in the afternoon. Another note if you mark a ton of fish with bait,, try if no luck, to go a few feet from the pod,,, the bigger perch don t school with the small guys. Hope this helps. Its been a great time. Guys have fun and good luck. Doug

Should be set for the winter. Note ... for some,,,, sometimes its just a matter of moving your boat 100 yds, from one spot to another, also between 11.00 and 1.00 try deeper depths. good luck all. Doug
