  1. http://bertscustomtackle.com/about-us Same great rigger just now owned by Bert's and now made in Michigan.
  2. When installing plugs I always use a thread lube of some type. Any anti-seize will work. It prevents corrosion from forming between aluminum and steel.
  3. deet works very well for me. deet eats paint for breakfast and plastic for lunch. It will weaken monofilament and may affect braid as well. Get it on the foam handle of a fishing rod and watch the foam crumble. Do not get it in your eyes. You will be crying for a long time or until the tears wash it out.
  4. I would use a brass brush and try cleaning the threads first in the hole and on the plug. I always turn a plug counter-clockwise till the threads drop in and line up. Sometimes a square helps to get things straight. Aluminum is fragile at best and if not confident then take it to a mechanic. Not sure I would do it myself.
  5. Thermacell works well but don't use it in confined spaces. Works very well during Turkey season. http://www.thermacell.com/mosquito-repellent Get a flea and tick spray with permethrin from you pet supply center. Spray on clothing for all day peace of mind. http://sawyer.com/products/permethrin-premium-insect-repellent/ As always make sure to read all product labels and exercise caution.
  6. I love my bananas and no one knows that I carry one in my stomach when I go fishing. A bad day fishing is just that and it's still better than working. So take your bananas to work in your lunch.
  7. My vote is for exploding bunny wabbits!
  8. AW, and the lights are gone for another season. What's next??..................Exploding Easter Eggs!!
  9. The lights are a feature on a number of forums at this time of year. The first one that popped was a surprise but after that the kids could not wait to pop more. I disabled the sound and they got frantic as there was no noise. After a while the kid in me started break them as well. Happy New Year!!

Some may know me from spoonpullers as I have the same username there. I see a bunch of familiar faces over here so that's good. Fishing and hunting are my two passions. I will fight to the end to keep these rights. I hope we can share some tips and have some fun doing so. Best wishes for catching some fishes in 2012. Take care.
