Not trying to start WW III but I would have to say that overall I've dealt with bone headed moves made by weekend warriors way, way more often than charters. The simple fact is that most charter captains have far more skill and experience in both finding fish and boat control than the average joe.

Scott it's pretty funny. First step now is called "friend". Second step is "talking to". Third step is "girlfriend ".

Lures in a 5. Evening trip with my son and his "friend". No time to go deep but getting some hits between 170 and 230. Temps down 100 so far one for three.

I found out that with 30# mono it is near impossible to jerk the line and release the dipsy latch. Too much stretch.

That's why I run braid to the barrel swivel.
No stretch.

One of the best, most successful boats ever out of Sandy.

Proven fish catching machine. Owner has taken meticulous care of this boat. Someone's going to get a great boat.

Thanks to Rob, Brian, Matt as well as others and sponsors for another awesome Sandy Creek Shootout. Always well run, friendly and fun.
Curious to know how many boats were in this year.

Based on what I've read on this thread his popularity as a person (or lack thereof) isn't helping his cause.

Excellent! I guess Pequod has been doing well there lately, too...I've been too busy getting a grant out the door to fish much at all. That changes Saturday when we head to Upper Saranac lake for a week.
What rig are you fishing out of in the photos?
1995 Lund. 70 to 75 feet with 5-8 ounce weight, slow troll warmharness. 110 to 120 feet of line out.

Decided to do something other than Lake O today and had a lot of fun walleye fishing.
Brought home a three man limit, a welcome addition to the freezer. Lots of small ones but some good ones too!
