$16 a rod is sweet couldn't pass that up. glad they will work thanks
-
i know this thread is pretty old, but the same thing happened to me as the first post. I ordered what I thought were rigger rods on ebay and they showed up and they say 'mooching' on the rod. Can I use them as rigger, core, slide diver, or planar rods just the same? They sound like the exact same as Gotta Bites: 9' Okuma classic pros got 5 for $82 and they have the chartreuse tip on them.
-
clarion is sweet, but its $$$. Okuma convector 55L works too for quite a bit less.
-
thats nuts, you dont get tangles once in a while? do you run mainly spoons off the in-lines?
-
I want to replace some cheaper split rings with spros, but not sure what size to get. Most of the spoons I use are mags. Post if you know, thanks.

Those are pretty big for spring browns

Our best 2 were:
Green dot spinny
Crazy **** spinny
we didnt run many chips, but from reports I heard it sounds like we should have.
-
thanks. I found a site online that sells them a lot cheaper than $14 + tax. But they don't have meat market listed, thats why I thought it might be under a different name. I heard pig pen 1 and 2 were good ones also.
-
you listed rigger mounts, so it doesn't come with the 4 riggers pictured? or maybe Im reading it wrong
-
buy some used reels, they are usually half the price. and most of the time they come with line on them already. I think all my reels are used but 2 and I have like 15 now... Most of mine are daiwa great lakes sealines and then a few newer sea lines. Great rigger reels. For rigger rods I went with the okuma 8'6 downrigger rods http://www.fishusa.com/Okuma-Classic-Pr ... ods_p.html they are $ for that price no problems we hauled a lot of fish on them. I have 3 of the okuma copper/leadcore rods they are $40 a pop and those worked well to pulling inline boards with lead/copper.
Used reel with new rigger rod = $70/$75

1. Stinger NBK MAG
2. BFuller Orange Dot KOS MAG
3. NK-28 SSW (in the spring)
4. DW Reg. Lazer Spook (in the spring)
stinger nbk on deep rigger was on fire until early/mid july and then it completely shut down for us (around the same time that we stocked up on it....) ran the orange dot KOS mainly on junk lines.
5. Watermelon MAG (stinger and NK)
6. DW Midnight Special MAG
7. Stinger Yellow NBK MAG
8. Stinger UV Black Tuxedo MAG
9. Stinger Standard UV Johnny Buster (spring)
10. DW Monkey Puke MAG

Is there another name for the michigan stinger meat market flasher? Ive seen them in pulaski but they are not called 'meat market' on stingers website. Unless they aren't pictured on their website.. Heard it was a good producer for the past 2 years.

we have a 18 ft penn and run 2 coppers(off the boards) 4 dipsy's and 2 riggers if there are 3 of us all the time
hope this helps and good luck
how do you run 4 dipseys and 2 riggers? seems like tangle central. cant even picture it
-
impressive fish, mounter?
-
just missed it. troubles if you can part with another I will take it. I think you have a few too many setups!
-
i think we have taken a total of 2 fish in 2 years on our stacked rigger (20-30ft higher than deep rod). not sure if we are doing something wrong but its shocking when that thing fires
-
did you launch out of port ontario or mexico?
-
you can run 2 or 3 colors but most people like 2 more. as far as running with a flasher/fly that would negate the lead action due to the added paddle drag. the lead is suppose to rise and fall with boat turns and speed changes. this is best with a low drag lure like a spoon.

spoon of the year???
-
nice job what was your hot flashers?
-
nice fish what rigs did they eat?
