Storms ripped thru pretty good last night and now that the front has moved thru we have been gifted once again with 5-6 footers. It started picking up last night around 10pm. Waves are still cranking but it should calm down tonight and the rest of the week and weekend look fine. I did fix my radio, thanks to all who gave me the heads up lol. It was  a combination of a loose positive split I did and an ole connection of the antenna lol....This weekend should be real good. 150-200 fow straight out. thats where they are ....or were lol

                  Your radio was terrible Saturday. You where only a few hundred yards when I asked if you had dipsys out.

Lol Shes an old radio, been with me for 30 years now lol...The problem is the fuse panel. I need to replace the whole thing and re-wire everything. Ill work on it this week. She works fine when the boats not running, theres shorts all over the place...I receive great its transmitting...

They ripped thru here pretty good lol. Flooded the marina thats for sure lol...I had one on for about a minute then I lost it yesterday. It had to be a small laker cause I was right on the bottom with my purple frog which is usually the case.....So I frolicked around with everyone else for a few more hours then I went back in.  straight out 150-200 fow waaaayyyyyy down lol...

By the time most got in it was a below avg day....

Storms are approaching they just passed Sodus, not looking good.

Careful out there their is storms moving thru. We had a gust a while earlier. It looks real "Iffy" right now They do have statements issued on the vhf

Lol I did not go out this am...too hot lol....It is brutal. I figure maybe tonight when she cools down. Not much action on the radio lol....

I use the NOAA and its always been fine. Now were in a real Summer pattern. Fish are showing up in the 100 -200 range...This weekend should be fine lake wise.

But anyways check this for a pretty good guideline for whats ahead weather wise...Ill be out tomorrow in the afternoon. too hot today lol

Yea most stayed in today as well. Looks like mr wind won again lol. I believe the tournament in Oswego got cancelled finally...I assume this because the boats are already back which meant they just picked up their rigs in Oswego and came home.

Lets see what the weather does for us this week. It is getting crunch time lol

Well I figured it would be tough. I was at harborfest in Oswego from Thursday thru Sunday. Im a stage manager there for the bands and I work the whole thng. They gave me a room at the dorm at the college so I could feel the breeze friday and even Saturday it seemed slightly there.

I did see a few boats out Saturday but not too many. Ive done Harborfest now for decades, every year its a pull between fishing and that lol. Harborfest wins this weekend cause it is fun as you will see in the vid below. And at least im at the water lol

Anyway I hope to get out later this week and now that August is here ima gonna try hard lol at least until State Fair time when I go back to stage work lol......

Yea the state park has great access. But since its an 18 ft, you could also put that in the village access dock at little sodus inn, or by turtle cove on west bay road. Those are both free. You could easily drive to them and check it out....

Fair Haven is about 20 miles East of Sodus and about 10 miles West of Oswego. And todays not the day to go out. We got 3-5's out there right now with a nice stiff west wind. Forecast indicates winds slow as we get towards tonight.

Ok its getting good now. Fish are being caught from 150 to 250, 80 t0 120 down.Some nice size kings are coming in at the low 20's but still a good amount of small ones plus a few lakers . Mostly meat rigs are working in this area. I was up at the winery for a wedding this weekend. Im going back out wednesday if the weather holds.

Well its blowing today. Nobody from the fleet went out. Its a good day to clean up and go thru the gear lol. Those are nice fish you caught. They may have been the big take yesterday lol.. Seems to be the size of whats coming in and a two three fish per outing.  ...It should pick up real soon.....

If it calms down I might go back to that 100 foot range with all that bait hangin around....

Yea the west wind earlier in the week blew in some warm water but fish are being caught anywhere from 80 to 180;. 85 -125 down. I scored 0 today but a few nice kings did come in today all caught within 150 straight out.

Hey its going to be an awesome weekend for bbq's and other fun stuff....except fishing lol. The weather is looking to build starting Friday Night with a high west wind lasting thru sunday am. The waves will be at or near 5+ by Friday night if they are right.

The good news is it can bring in the fish in the area as the west winds blow so Monday the 4th may be the am.

Parade is Friday, Fireworks are Sunday night and the Boat Parade is Monday for the Fair Haven SOFA 4th weekend

It is getting better Fish are anywhere from 120 to 200 out. 85 down as a standard. I didnt get anything but those who stayed all day did score some small to mid size kings and a couple of atlantics. Not much happened overall but like i said it did perk up abit.

I did score this little guy about an hour ago lol.. Lets see what happens tomorrow in the am.

Well this weeks blow brought in the temps we need and some bait. Im gonna give it a go first thing am and see if we can actually catch more than a suntan lol.

And the trend continues lol. It was hot, slow fishing but a perfect day to at least be on the water. The fleet took the wounded warriors out today. Some lakers and small kings (6lb avg) taken at 200+, similar results in 120+.

Me well I tripped over my own feet running out the door this am so I figure I should stay in for the day lol...

I managed to throw on a worm and this is about as good as it gets lol...

Keep in mind it is early June...

Well the trend continues to be real slow. If you caught anything out in the lake your my hero lol. Most salmon fishing is reduced to bait fishing in the bay. There is fun fishing in the bay for sure. But the lake continues to show a pre summer pattern. Today is 5=7 foot waves and its blowing real hard out of the west. Hopefully it turns on soon but for now she remains slow.....
