  1. For sale is a never used, box & mounting hardware included, Okuma Convector CV-55L Reel that I spooled up this Spring with 300yds of hi-vis yellow 50# Power Pro, 10 colors of Sufix Performance 27# Lead Core, with a 50' 25# Seaguar STS Flurocarbon Leader. The Reel alone retails for $95-100 depending on where you buy. Will sell ready to catch fish for $75 & free shipping to your US Address. Paypal only. Will attach pics when I get home this evening because I know you'll ask.
  2. That's awesome Chas - Congrats to you guys as well! Thanks Justin. Haha Thanks Bill - we'll have a good 2015 up there, no doubt. I'm excited for you about the new rig... should be a fun year for you guys!
  3. Thanks PAP! Certainly an exciting time for us. Next year may not include quite as much fishing for me but I'm sure I'll be out a respectable amount. Having the camp up there is great and something we'll continue to utilize a lot as a family! Have a good winter!
  4. Nothing beats a NILS auger. Hand or Power... If you haven't used or seen one in action you need to. Your mind will be made up and you'll be smiling every time you need to drill a hole.
  5. Fished solo Friday... Then went out to Stony on the high rocks to check out the view by land. Found out last week that we're having a boy, Hunter Scott Fleetwood, so looking forward to raising that young man and teaching him everything I know on the water and in the woods!
  6. Another Saturday - another trip to the river. Landed 7 and lost a nice Steely
  7. Same trib. Same spots. Same results. With a bonus Steely.
  8. Quick afternoon trip to a small local trib yielded some big results today.
  9. That sucks! My buddy picked up 6 on Saturday. As hard as it can be, getting away from areas that are being pounded all day helps. The mouth was stacked I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. River. Down 3-4' and back 30-35'.
  11. Let me know what you find out - I have four convector 30's and two 55's that need done too.
  12. We got em trolling K14 size Flatfish 40-50' back in various colors and Silver Jplugs with a red head on riggers down 3-4' back 30-35'.
  13. Caught a few nice ones a couple weeks ago but haven't tried since... Heard they were in pretty thick at the mouth last weekend.
  14. These are cool boats I'm just shocked at how little rod & tackle storage there is for the $. In my Tracker (less then 1/2 the price) I can hide 5 leadcores in the center locker, 2 coppers and 4 salmon downrigger rods on the left locker, and 4 dipseys in the right locker. All rods in tact except for the 4 10' dipsey rods need broken down. You'd never know they were in the boat. I looked at boats like these initially and found them to lack the storage I needed. Even the Lund's don't have storage like the Tracker's do I don't get it. It's nice to be able to keep a significant amount of tackle and set-ups on board depending on what the day was going to throw at you. Stinks there is a hatch directly forward of the outboard... that's a prime spot for a 6x rod launcher to keep some set-ups readily accessible when deploying and moving around. Definitely a clean boat - enjoy her and get it dirty next year!
  15. Morning trip yielded 5 more 20+" SMB. Wasn't there a tourney today? Shoulda entered haha - can't keep those pigs off during a troll. No eyes, no Pics, and no lost hardware.
  16. Today was slowwww and Hottt! Picked up a monster Pike, no walleye (our target), a few more SMB, and had 1 more king on that snapped the line after a 20sec hauling scream!
  17. Nice weekend so had to come up for a 3-day trip. Day 1 stayed close and fished outside Association Island in 30-50' and picked up 7 Smallmouth, kept 3 pigs, a 10lb Eye, dropped 2 others, a nice 37" Pike, and 2 Kings stole some hardware for some exciting 10lb test screams! Lots of action with just 2 dudes on the boat.
  18. DEC's website on special trib regulations is confusing at best... but I thought free sliding floating lures (j-plugs) were not legal in most cases. Have I misinterpreted this? My J-plugs have always been fixed either with a swivel or large split ring on the top side.
  19. Hey Justin Thanks! Yea big boat was pulled home on Labor Day. Little boat for rest of the year. Use it more anyway.
  20. No Kings today - got rough and wet out there. Picked up a Laker to avoid the skunk.
  21. Picked up some more slobs today!
  22. Here's where I mounted my mast on my little boat. It's a welded seat base style from Tony at GLP. I used to run it in the factory deck platform seat position. Not far forward enough. I bought another seat base and mounted it to the trolling motor bow platform. Higher up and further forward. It works great up there!
  23. The responses you've received are all good. I'll only reiterate the following: Get your mast as far forward in the boat as possible - allows fastest reaction to the boards from boat movement and gives you more mobility in traffic and better turning radius. This will also avoid issues with the planer tow line interfering with your rods on turns.
  24. EZ steer works great. Put it on beginning of the season haven't touched it since. Well worth the price for something that WORKS and not having to worry about it.
