  1. It's basically for tournament days only. Hoping to make a box with two extra battery that gator clip on. 99% of the time it will never be in the boat. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Trophy seeker. Your diagram must be the proper way for what I was hoping to try. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. That's what I'm going to try, thanks Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  5. Here was my original thought..... Add two battery to the existing set up in this manner. ++ -- still gives 12 volt. Essentially not changing the 24 volt at the end simply giving more capacity?? Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Here's my thought..... Run a positive and negative lead to a invertor, where the two bank charger is installed. Then on those long days I simply plug the factory installed charger to the invertor while I'm out? My thought is that may be enough to extend the extra 30%-40% run time on those days Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Ditto to that. Find stability and you'll find fish. Lure color changes daily. Carbon 14 had been great another season for me deep, early morning, cloudy, etc. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. 72" length. I absolutely love it. Ipilot for heading and my kicker does the thrust. I'll probably add auto pilot to my main engine but if it I could only choose one it's the IPilot. The anchor feature is amazing also. 99%of my trips are 5 hrs and the 24 volt is great. After a ten HR event I can now see why a 36 volt would be better. 60" would definitely be short on my fishmaster. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. When using my Ipilot 24 volt I get shot 7 hrs of steady use. Other day on a 10hr tournament day it finally drained out and back to the steering wheel I went. I have two more new batteries just sitting in the garage. Can I the l tie those in to extend run time?? If so does someone have a diagram? Other thought was can I run a lead from the kicker battery to the 24volt while trolling? Essentially trickling charging it as I go? Thanks Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Well the first fishing tournament with my boys is in the books. After ten long hrs on the boat we managed to pull off first place , amongst a field of great anglers. I can't thank the other anglers enough for how they made my kids feel. One after the next they congratulated my boys with high fives for their winning. Also many anglers not in the tournament called me to congratulate my kids and Casey Prisco even helped Mason hold his fish for the winning photo. To say it made their day is an under statement. This is truly a memory we'll never forget. Also special thanks to Bald Eagle Marina who did a great job hosting the event and have an amazing facility. Our winning box weighed in just over 63 lbs for 3 fish. One photo is with Casey Prisco helping, and one is without [emoji23]. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. The sign now signs no wake 600' from shore Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Took my kids out the other day caught piles of lakers. 95-120' on bottom. Kings were right above them same water Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I'm on the water at least two days a week. I don't think wunderground plus a local weather to check wind has ever failed me. I fish the shipping Lanes regularly in a 14' boat. I check current report for waves, the following afternoon or morning for conditions and then local weather for wind speed and direction. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Wunderground Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. My new boat has a Terrova 80lb 24 volt Ipilot trolling motor. It's amazing. It keeps my fishmaster on course even in 3'-4' waves. It also is amazing for the Genny River, Erie canal etc. Just press the anchor button and it pins the boat perfectly. It would be ultimate for perch fishing also. Also very easy to install yourself. 16. Incredible fish Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. I sold a unit a month ago and the guy is simply amazed. Check the classified there was a unit for sale. The smaller the boat the more benefit it is...... Fishing a blank screen but knowing your gear is in the strike zone is priceless Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Not even a comparison. It's a must have. In a perfect day, anyone can fish. It's the tough day, temps so over, not making allot, crazy currents, lure speed changing as direction changes, and in and on. I caught Kings out out of pontoon busy when I first started. 2 dipsy and a Cannon mini rigger. You can read your dipsy, pace other boats, find a good GPS speed, but nothing compared to be perfectly dialed in 100% of the time. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I like it.... For overall versatility it's everything I hoped for. Insanely quick, comfortable in 2-4 footers, take my kids up the Erie canal and Genny, etc. Ipilot is favorite feature hands down. Coming from a 24' with Alaskan cabin storage and weather protection is the only drawback. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Lakers 95 ' and kinds 120'. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Took 4 out of my 5 kids fishing tonight and we put the hammer down. Landed roughly 15 fish lost a handful. Literally ran 2 to 3 rods and had a fish on almost the entire time. Started in 100feet sliding in until consistent Lakers marked. Sent down two Gamblers Rig and immediately started catching. We fished 2 hrs and boated 11 Lakers loosing 4 or 5. Multiple in the mid teens, smallest around 10lb. Once the kids had their fill of catching fish I slid out deeper, bumped the speed, and changed the spread. Fished for silver an HR boating 4 Kings. 17lbs, two low teens, and a 4lb. All my Kings came off spoons. Dipsy out 175, rigger 70-80 feet down. The flys finally got the best of the kids and we wrapped it up at 7pm. Just in time for a really rainy boat ride home. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. My modern kicker actually put out more charge than my old OMC engine did. With my Mercury pro kicker it never fags out no matter how much we are doing. I also carry extra jumper cables to charge if a helper boat is needed. Before I got the kicker, I drained a battery and died. Thank goodness a boat came over with jumper cables and got me going again. You can get in a lotta trouble if you run out of electric out there and bilge isn't functioning. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Been there.... Add another battery specific for your trolling gear. I also added a kicker with alternator to that specific battery. Reality is your drawing more electric than your generating. Also upgrade or check your alternator? Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. I went out of Braddock's tonight with my daughter and nephew. Still cold inside, however 70 on surface, and the cold water was a little deeper than Thursday night. Lots of bait in 90-100 feet and pulled Lakers on the bottom 100-110. Skippy King in 140 down 70 feet Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Really want to upgrade my transducer. The more I search the more confused I get. I have a stock 83/200 transducer on the boat now. Looking to get a P66 50/200. Then I see the Tm150 with chirp. With this unit I need to put Sonarhub in also? Then there is the Airmar TM260 Or simply throw in the towel and get new HDS Gen3???? Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
