Quick offshore report. Fished 30-31 line putting 8 steelhead and 4 kings in the boat. Biggest king 14lbs and steelhead 8 lbs. Dropped a couple beautiful steelhead at the boat that definitely were over 10lbs...... mostly spoons for the steelhead and FF on the kings

I was opposite lol. Just me and my daughter. Was going to start in 30fow browsing maybe as deep as 150fow if no luck ???? 2 hrs of that , if it don’t work 31 line trolling south .
Last Sunday we had temp in 150-200 . So although We only got one mature we had steelhead and 2 yr olds biting to make it fun for her.........

Just a question, why would anyone expect salmon to be staging off Braddock's, as the only fish stocked in the bay are ~ 5000 steelhead stocked in Salmon Creek? There are ~ 36,000 Brown Trout stocked in the lake off Braddock's, but the closest Salmon stocking sites, and therefore where I would expect to find staging salmon, are the Genesee River, and Sandy Creek. Certainly some salmon will stray into any tributary, but I think that is a function of "spawning urge" becoming dominant before the fish finds its "natal" stream.
Who would troll in front of the Genny with 1000 boats on their ass[emoji6].

Lousy. Fished for an hour between 8 and 9 and went back out between 12 and 3.
Caught a brown, a bow and a king. None were over 6 pounds. Didn’t get out past 150 but screen was pretty blank.

Ironic the offshore bite that’s been on fire with matures finally slowed down yet they’re not stacked out front, and they are getting some off the pier [emoji848]....... going to be a mad dash up the river all at once . Saturday looks like a bust so hopefully Sunday I’ll be out .

Late Friday looks really rough. Saturday morning looks really bumpy and subsiding all day. But I’m thinking best scenario will be 2-3footers.
If you want staging kings they’ll be in there well under the 100’. If you want steelhead the Offshore bite has been great

150-190 I got my fish. Better screens in tight but I couldn’t budge anything. Friends that fished offshore yesterday had incredible Day.........
Temp was very deep making it hard to reach them. My riggers fires down 100-130 (I use 16 lb torpedo).
If I had the time I’d shoot offshore and work in

It keeps getting more Inconsistent as the season winds down. I had a friend 29-31 line west of me that did good on steelhead/2 yr olds and a one mature. We simply never had a screen to really work over. With the winds today it will change quick.
We did catch 2yr olds and big steelhead in 120-200 today so in hindsight I probably didn’t need to go offshore, (however with the winds) being pushed for the trip instead of fighting the waves seemed better.
In front of the pump house had good marks on the bottom in the 80-100 depth. If I get out tomorrow that seems like the best option for a stager. Maybe setup in 60fow and walk out as the screen hopefully tells you where they are.
Good luck
