I don't do a lot of lake trout fishing but would like to have a few rigs on hand. I'd like 2 -1/2 & 1/2 1 silver hammered 1 brass hammered

I had the same situation as finsntins. I fish Mexico bay also. Just seemed whenever I had the opportunity, there were 6 footers out there ! Oh yea....and the water temp was all screwed up

I have my transducer pointed slightly towards the front. This gives me time to raise or lower my riggers when I see fish or avoid dragging bottom

Seems to work well in deep water. If the water is 20 ft or less you're not gonna see them regardless on account that they usually run away from the boat

I run the HDS 5x and it works fine for fishing lake O. Cost 549.00 I believe this unit was replaced by the elite 5. Worth the money in my book.

I run 30 lb mono on all rigs while fishing lake O because when I tried running 12 lb it got loaded up with fleas. I guess it depends on what time of year and what lake and what species of fish ur targeting.

I run a depth raider, brand new out of the box the unit was 1/2 a mph off. While chatting with a charter captain who also uses a depth raider. He mentioned his unit was also 1/2 a mph off ! I'd go with a Moors speed n temp

I'm not sure what he's doing, but Dan Zanetti might be available. I know a couple other guys, if I run into them I'll ask !
