  6. Very nice looking spoon PD! I have always been a fan of the brown trout colored rapalas. I imagine this spoon will be killer as well! Dave

  11. Great thread guys! (Just found it). Down here in DE it has been a weird season. I personally have been seeing very few deer, but others are seeing tons. My buddy got a real nice one (10pt in pics below) the first week of November, a couple hundred yards from my stand, and I finally got on the board with a decent 7 point (2nd pic). Sounds like the seasons are all jacked up up there. We have it easy. Bow season goes from September 1st to January 31st each year with 2 weeks of shotgun and 2 weeks of muzzleloader mixed in. 4 doe tags with your license and you can buy 2 buck tags, (1 quality, 1 choice) and an unlimited amount of extra doe tags if you want them. Good luck the rest of the season guys! I still have a couple bruisers I am chasing around and getting ready for ducks. Before you know it I'll be getting the boat ready for browns and the walleye opener up there!
  12. Lets get this thread back to the top! Working on some more painted color schemes this winter and some basic taped spoons.
  13. It was great having you guys down and a blast fishing with you guys! Well plan a trip in June to really get on the tuna and sharks! Trying to talk the wife into coming up the weekend of the 27th. Will let you know!
  14. That sucks man! Just make sure you have weekend of July 25th free!
  15. Hey Moose we found 1 worm in one of the smaller drum. I've never found more than one in any fish and they are easy to cut out. I really like eating black drum. Here is a link to an article I wrote with my favorite Drum recipe, "Buffalo Drum Fingers" but I guess anything fried and with buffalo sauce can't be bad http://m-asportsman.blogspot.com/2015/05/buffalo-drum-fingers.html
  16. Haha it is wild. They only "drum" sometimes, I've caught a bunch when you don't hear them at all, and sometimes everytime you start to hear them its game on. They only hang around this area from the end of April until the middle of June, but its a fun time they pull like freight trains.
  17. This link has audio of what they sound like, you can hear them when they swim close to the boat. On calm nights you can hear them from hundreds of yards away http://ocr.org/wp-content/uploads/Black-Drum.swf?width=848&height=434%20rel=
  18. You can hear them "drumming" under the boat! It is pretty wild if you've never heard it.
