  1. Looks like a FLT. Alewife/UV variation. if you find one let me know. Great looking spoon!
  2. Nice thanks. The instructions for the half keels say to drill holes below the pre drilled they come with. Did you also do this?
  3. Lyman actually makes some nice ones. They aren't cheap but the quality is great.
  4. I wash alot of lures fishing in the spring on the northshore. ha
  5. You can also run inline fuses and connect directly to the battery. I used marine wire as apparently there is a difference.
  6. I have 3. One for stick baits and cranks and two for spoons, lymans. the only way to go in my opinion.
  7. I had the mast welded to a pedestal
  8. Copper doesn't go out on riggers or dipsey. Just deployed on its own. The weight of the copper gives it the depth roughly 20ft depth per 100 ft copper. It can be run with inline planers to keep it out to the side.
  9. Just a thought could early maturation have anything to do with the massive amounts of hormones going into the great Lakes? there was a post about cocaine and a bunch of other substances but no mention of all the estrogen from birth control pills entering the water shed ?
  10. Looking for a new rig. needs to have a cuddy and be a higher end make with twin power and not I/O. The newer the better. have a large budget for the right boat. Let me know what you have. Thanks in advance.
  11. I had a shop weld it directly to the seat pedestal.
  12. So there's shouldn't be any interference between lowrance or bird finder/plotters with the fishawk? I'd hate to upgrade only to have my fishawk not work properly
  13. I use the Beckman net. Extendable. Goes out to 12 ft. Makes a big difference
  14. So fishawk is 70 kHz and because the birds run at 455 and 800 there would be no interference? What frequencies do the lowrance units run at?
  15. I also had it on my shin of all places. 34 years old. Caught it early because it was itchy and had two surgeries to remove it so was lucky. now I use full UPF Gear everytime outside. Pants and long sleeve. Cover up and do the same for your children as children who get sunburnt are 50% more likely to develop skin cancer as an adult. That's my PSA for the day.
  16. I got aluminum from a metal shop 1/2 inch think. drilled thru the gunnels, used clamps to hold the plates in place underneath so all lined up. Used stainless bolts and thru bolted. Way overkill but I run riggers on them with 16 and 20 lb balls.
