  1. I use micro lead and a 10 colour with spoon going 2.2 mph gets to 60ft.
  2. Ordered a bunch. What speed do you guys recommemd trolling with them?
  3. Yeah. Just kind if want a control. The Hum is one thing the electrical conduction is another. Have you run the braid? Does it collect fleas or slip?
  4. Depends. Some argue either way but it can be measured. Alot of people neutralize them. Some get black boxes where it can be adjusted. Just another variable if you ask me.
  5. Wire and 19 strand. I found 7 strand to be terrible. (Just my opinion)
  6. I'm running scotty 2116 with stainless wire I wanted to experiment with one and try the heaviest lb test scotty braid to kill the voltage. what is everyone's opinion about running downrigger braid vs stainless cable ?
  7. I think with NAFTA you don't pay any duty. probably the just the state tax. I know going from the US to CAN we have to pay a small import fee and the HST (tax)
  8. Lymans are on sale right now on their website.just picked up a bunch more. Glow ladder backs work well on long junk lines. Early and late like tyeetanic suggested. Sometimes throw one in the rigger spread. Just use a long lead because they go crazy
  9. It's not even my boat. Just trying to help anyone out thats in the market and may not be looking north. There isnt as much inventory up here but with the stronger dollar makes a lot of sense.
  10. No prob. Just throwing it out there. My dream salmon boat is a carolina classic 28. Far cry from the Lowe 185 I'm running now. Hah
  11. Lund definitely are a premium. with exchange now the lund I posted would be about 27k US.
  12. Not sure if it's my all time favorite. But placed 3rd in the GOSD last year with it. Caught at 830 pm on a 7 colour and moonshine spoon on the northshore. spent the night in an ice bath and weighed in the am at 28lbs. Not my biggest salmon but most memorable because my son was aboard and the fish finished 3rd largest on the week.
  13. Hey gents, this isn't my boat and I have no affiliation. Just passing along a good deal The US dollar has 30% more buying power here. http://m.kijiji.ca/powerboat-motorboat/london/2013-lund-crossover-1875-xs-like-new-with-150-hp-merc-37995/v?adId=1142707724&locationId=1700214
  14. Has anyone tried the scotty braided rigger line? Pros and cons? do the fleas stick to it? How does it wear compared to stainless? Also is it slick, slipping while dropping or retrieving? Thanks
  15. Meat is best run behind big paddles. 11". twinkies work best late season IMO when fish are staging. I always run meat on the deep rigger and then typically on a wire diver.
  16. Scotty replaced my digital counter no questions asked and super fast. Very impressed with the 2116s aswell as the customer service.
  17. I second the eagle claw great reel.for the price.
  18. I'm interested in lots 1,2,4,10,12. Can you provide your number so I can reach out to you? Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I fish out of whitby usually several times a week, meat has been the best producer but the biggest fish (placed 3rd last week in the GOSD) came on a spoon run off a 7 colour. I've been catching alot of fish up high (40-60) Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Good luck. the way it's going a 30 might win the great salmon hunt. ha
