  1. I have some whole herring and a salted bunker I vacuum sealed at the end of striper season. If I want to cut it and run it on a meat rig how should I do it? How long, how thick, etc. Any advice from your experience is appreciated.

    Thanks, Luke.

  2. A lot of this site is like the group you're looking for, it's just different...

Instead of celebrating overcoming and the recovery, we celebrate the addiction itself!!! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] (paraphrased from Jase Robertson)

  3. Launched out of Stony Creek and set up at 6:30am between (what my brother and I think are) the mountain and the finger worked with the waves out to deeper water.

Took my first King of the season and the first one landed on my boat (bit of a newbie). It hit our copper rod.

Had our wire dipsy out 225 start screaming and lost it 80 ft from the boat. Flasher fly. That one went again and got off, again [emoji20].

Next the other dipsy out 250 went and landed an 10 lbs laker.

Last, a rigger fired and landed another laker, 12 lbs

Had another miss and dragged a small laker for a while. 4/7 by 9:30am.

All in all a great day out with my brother, which all of them are, this was just the best to date!

  4. I think bending the tow arm is an attempt to match the line angle to the rod, allowing the nose to not be pulled up by the tow line.

I'm gonna put a split ring on a pair this weekend and see if the "play" in it will do anything to the orientation or pull of the boards. And will report the findings.

  5. I read somewhere (I thought here, can't find it...) that someone put a split ring on the front clip of their inlines, in place of the screw.

My thinking is that having play in the front, will allow the nose of the board to sit lower in the water by overcoming a steep line angle to the board and cause it to side plane a little better.

Anybody customize this way? Or agree/disagree with my thinking?
