  1. Hahah jeeze @Sea Yea, we had some issues in the am, boat had a loose battery connection and my Dad blew my drift sock apart first thing. Other than that it was a great day haha Hopefully I can make it out again shortly, seems to be picking up. The salmon this year have been doing some weird things, it seemed like everything was a couple weeks behind this year, so that definitely is a bit odd to find a salmon like that, in my mind anyways, who knows.. maybe he found some warmer waters?
  2. 14 for 18 today with a few knock offs. 3 screamers. (a steelhead was one of them) here are some pics.. Biggest one was 28lbs.. caught early in the morning.. What an awesome couple of days on the water!
  3. Went 7 for 7 here today.. 3 Kings 1 Coho 3 steelhead and a couple shakers.. had three knock offs as well.. fished all over from 60fow to 350fow.. didnt get out until 3, staying on the water tonight and heading out early am..hopefully the bite is ONN
  4. Thanks sea yea 2! Hope it picks up for the weekend.. My boats a green/white four winns, hopefully ill see you out there.. Good luck
  5. Yea! i love that launch, closer for me as well. I actually had really good luck just coming out from there last year for bows, my dad pulled in what we thought to be a skamanian not far past the bridge there.. FIERCE fish!
  6. Hey guys, just wondering how the bluffers area is looking and what depths are people fishing. My dad and i are heading out tomorrow and spending a couple days on the lake, wondering if we should troll E to whitby area or if the fish are on the move west. Any help would by much appreciated. Was out in Bronte last weekend and got a couple of teens on spoons.. I had forgot my flies and meat at home and didnt realize until we were on the water.. That launch at bronte is terrible for my boat and I probably wont be launching from there again... Good luck out there!
  7. Its been off and on there, a buddy of mine had the best day of his fishing career there a couple weeks ago, then it died right off.. There are a ton of lakers in that area though.. If fishing get slow you can always target those for some thrills.. Last time we were there the fish were in 130fow and only down about 20-30'
  8. Hey culprit thanks for the offer the bluffs is a bit of a hike for me, especially at that time with traffic. I love fishing the bluffs though so hopefully we can hook up another time.. Thanks again!
  9. I fish anywhere from port dalhousie to the bluffs. I live in brantford so i was thinking bronte area... I get off at 4 so i could be down by there by about 5:15
  10. My boat is in service for the weekend.. After hearing a few stories of 15+ plus salmon being caught in a night ive got a real bad itch to get out haha im fully geared and willing to chip on gas so lemme know! Thanks
  11. I run into the same problem a lot of the time as well... Wish i didnt have to work today, or i'd be right there with ya, damn its gorgeous this morning!
  12. Jeeze thats a screamer! Thats rough though... Hopefully I can hook into that one
  13. Congrats! Sounds like a productive day, very nice fish
  14. Hahah you gettin them Afraz? If so you getting them off the drop or further out in za deep?
  15. I had planned cheatin on old Lake O and going to erie for some eyes and bows but that was planned for saturday and its not looking good weather wise.. so i might head out sunday.. Next week i do plan on going to bluffers though, it looks like the only place thats really producing salmon (according to the GSOD) website. Hot lure being flasher and fly..
  16. Never fished there but I know there are big muskie to be had along those Georgian Bay channels... here is a good website to check out the lay of the land http://atlas.nrcan.gc.ca/site/english/toporama/index.html
  17. I have never fished for lakers really, I was talking to a few of the local fisherman out of port dalhousie and they were saying spin doctors with flies near the bottom. so sure as **** 10min into dragging bottom we got a hit. I used a ****ty 5lb cannonball with a cheater clip up about 3-4' with a purple spin doctor and a-tom-mik fly at about 90 FOW trolling north at 2.1mph
  18. Yea i was pondering buying few jigging lures. What is the max depth you would fish for them without harming the fish bringing it up? Out fishing on the weekend i was marking an insane amount of fish at the 180' depth mark but thought bringing a fish up from that depth would be devastating to it..
  19. Good to know, Thanks Homewrecker! Have you had much success running at these higher speeds?
  20. Didn't do too well out from port Dalhousie.. Salmon are apparently non existent at that part of the lake (according to locals) we didn't get any.. Water and weather were beautiful Saturday, fishing not so much.. We just ended up dragging bottom at the end of the day for lakers and ended up with one very healthy lake trout, which made its way back into the water.. great marina they have in port Dalhousie though and same with the launch. wish the fishing was the same..
  21. Didnt get hooked up with any salmon and rainbows were slow so decided to go for a laker and up came this fatty.. Straight out from port dalhousie
