  1. Thats a good point mccoy. I think as sportsmen we should promote education of our natural resources to protect them for ourselves and future generations...... But what do u do about guys that dont give a what-what? It is disappointing and frustrating for sure. Those guys need more than a flyer that is for sure. Which was kinda my point.......The flyer is just going to aggravate ethical anglers and mean absolutely nothing to chronic offenders. The gentlemen that is doing this is better off communicating with these anglers directly? Not an easy situation for sure. The Dec is definitely understaffed.

  2. As always, the exchange of information and shared ideas here is valuable and informative.....Be it fishing, boating, conservation, or other. I just ordered my Atwood 2 mile LED high Viz nav lights..... Prof T and others made some great points regarding navigation at night. The high viz lights seem like a very wise investment. Thanks for the great information.

  3. Ahhh...... The Jefferson County Special Regulations....... I stand corrected and apologize for the misstatement of information.

Still, Barney Fife handing out flyers seems pretty passive aggressive to me. As sportsmen we should be able to openly communicate with each other.

  4. Haha. People should mind own business...... I am not a fan of bass fishing this time of year myself..... but it is perfectly legal to do so if someone wanted to.... With artificials and C&R. Does this person think that they have special enforcement rights?? Get a life!!

  5. Those sure are excellent points...... The river is a serious matter at night, even with electronics. The high viz LED nav lights are a super idea. Im going to check those out. My boat has a mid-ship light and stern light as well and to your point at times it doesn't feel adequate. It is easy to get disoriented out there for sure....... Especially on new moon phases when it is so dark.

  6. Good luck Roybee. That sounds awesome. Look forward to your reports. Living vicariously through you guys till the weekend arrives.......... Until then enjoying a little lunch[emoji1305][emoji1305]post-155409-14648815708402_thumb.jpg

  7. Nice work Roybee!! That is really good stuff. I hunted and pecked for them this weekend. 3 in 3 days. Saw lots of evidence on the sonar that suggested they were there..... This was a big family weekend for me and getting out at walleye thirty was just not in the cards....... However, could not have been more pleased with the action we had. I am a relatively new walleye fisherman..... Man, I wish I knew how addicting this species was before I tried it, lol.

  8. Those r some great family photos.... Adorable little ones! Looks like some great memories being made..... Even more fun when the fishing is good. Nice job[emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303]

  9. Lakeside, I dont get up that way as often as I would like.... Not sure I can offer much help. Have heard Carleton is a solid walleye spot although I have not fished it. I like that stretch of river from the cape to cedar point state park. Some decent predator structure there. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Good luck. Tight lines.
