Hit french creek and surrounding areas yesterday afternoon after an appt in Watertown. It was a ghost town everywhere! Everyone I spoke with said they had the same luck..... Several of them fished Krings as well. Erratic weather, erratic fishing I guess. Hope it breaks loose soon.

Thank you very much!! Just moved down here from clayton. The fishing has been so spotty on the river this spring.... Glad to hear its been a little more productive down this way. Will check out FB and try Aero. Thank you for the info. Will be chasing eyes soon enough but until then crappie are fun. Tight lines.

Nice catch Kevin! It was a beautiful weekend. Sunday was particularly nice. My parents were up for the holiday and we congregated at the river house. The water was so calm and gorgeous. Had me bumming that the 'Gram Marshall' wont be in the water until May 1st..... Crappie and bullhead will have to hold me over for another month, lol. Feels like spring has sprung!! Tight lines.

French creek was iced in this morning.... Bout 1/2 inch!! Darn weather.

C&R Love it....Lie detector!! I like it......

Also, love the Ugly Stick....... Well built, sturdy rod with some backbone and sensitivity. The uggo is a really great value.

Fished french creek last night. Very very little action. Fish seem to have turned off. Fished chaumont bay right by the bridge and took some perch. The action was not hot but it was slow and steady. A little warm weather would be helpful I believe.

Where I am.... Rudd have reddish fins. They look like a massive shiner with reddish fins.

Thats a big ol Northern. Nice fish.

I agree with many of the above comments. Quantity, Size, and/or slot restrictions are welcome Proposed regulatory changes to protect this important game fish. It's nice to see the DEC being quasi proactive with this species and taking more conservative measures to effect positive change on the Northern population.
Also, agree with min size increase...... 18" seems a bit small...... From a logical perspective, Come on!!!! Cleaning an 18 inch northern is not on my list of favorite things to do, lol.
Maybe in a few years NY will be the trophy northern destination in the US?[emoji229][emoji6]

Texted with Greg from hardware store today. I asked him about fishing The bay Thursday after warm temps, rain, and wind predicted Wednesday. He recommended foot travel only. Exercise caution.
