  1. May depend on where on the river you are fishing. But a good heavy jig 1 oz plus. I fish more toward Clayton and you can get away with a little less weight in that neck of the woods. More weight is required toward the bay. IMO.

  2. The previous owner of our boat used navionics with our HDS.... I think this made conversion fairly simple. I have heard of people having similar issues as you Prof T. I believe Guffins is correct and an update may be required. Navionics can be way off though on the river.... That is for sure.

  3. Sweet Bill fish!! I have also fished with Picante Charters.... We boated 2 striped marlin the day we went out. One was in the 180 class the other 220. Cabo is a fishing paradise for sure. Cannot wait to go back!!

  4. Dont come much better than S2 yachts...... Tiara is one quality big water boat, and a mean fishing machine. I fish out of a Pursuit...... Maybe a Tiara one day, lol. Good luck with the sale.[emoji1303][emoji1303]

  5. The great lakes and SLR are among our nations greatest natural resources and it's mismanaged time and again. 1/5 of the worlds fresh water supply should be treated with reverence it deserves.... But as we all know it wont be until there is a crisis of some sort which forces a reactive solution for more prudent measures and policies to be implemented. Such is the wisdom of modern governance.

  6. Anyone fishing the river yet? Know we are a few days out before the eyes start showing up in the usual haunts but wondering if anyone has wet a line? Wont be long!!

  7. I Have had some really tasty lake trout with nice pink meat.... I think the taste of a fish depends on many factors but handling from the minute its off the hook makes a significant difference regardless of species.
