Joe - Congrats to you and your "well oiled machine". You had a great team there and about the only "luck" involved in your victory was squeaking by John who also did a journeymans job out there. Those results also point to the quality of guys in of the Finger Lakes Trollers Association:yes:

With that being said anyone who hasn't checked out the FLTA I highly recommend doing so as it's a great experience

  2. Was a well organized and fun event! Congrats to the keepin' it reel crew! Truly one of if not the best crew on the finger lakes and congrats to John wild aswell hanging up there in that rough water and coming in a close second in a smaller boat! Can't wait for next year! Thanks also to Mike Burt and a special thanks to the SSSC

  3. Good luck guys I completely understand the loss of land deal I'm always in a constant struggle to gain a piece here just to lose a piece there. Luckily this piece is pretty well locked down for me... and as to the mental borderline I just believe that is hunters as individuals should be proud and happy of their kills regardless of if it's a spike or a 200" giant. I just know this buck calls this property home and I might be able to get away with letting him grow. He's a beautiful 2.5 year old 8 with potential I'll post a pick below... he would about tie my PB bow buck so it's a tough choice because I know there are bigger even though a tag filled and my kids bellies filled is great

  4. Sighting #4: 6:30pm an 8pt I named Poser that i had on can every evening around this time came by at 40 yards. Beautiful 8 with potential if he ia lucky enough that I don't find him on the wrong side of my mental borderline on our next encounter

  5. My 2017 deer season

Ok so I don't deer hunt balls to the wall but I do go as often as possible when not waterfowl hunting and with the western zone still closed til the 28th and finally getting the wind (i took a vow to only hunt favorable conditions on this peice of property til all bow season) I want to hunt a stand I had many trail cam pics in I took the first opportunity to get out of the season.
