Bobby! Thanks for all the support buddy. All your shares and efforts helped a ton..
Corey no problem all in it for a great cause! It was by far the best rule based finger lakes event I've fished that wasn't an flta event. Because no one else does box styles and it made for a great time! I can see this growing even more next year and would love to help in anyway possible again and to be honest I had far more fun in this event than the memorial day derby on Seneca. Would like to see it become larger aswell swells and maybe a few hours longer for us guys that struggle to want to quit early

Saturday there was a guy at tughannok who launched a boat and sat right there with trailer in the water while there while 2 guys took the boat out into the lake for a few test laps. One of the other ramps was in use forcing us to use tbe ramp that has an uneven tilt and broken apart concrete I told the guy it was rude and he didn't seem to have a problem with it. Then the guys came back in and decided to power load boat... I lost it, told them that guys like that are the reason for the ramp damage in the first place that is why the sign right next to them says no power loading... some people just don't get it

Do they have twill tips of so ill take them if Bruce doesn't

Well done in both events Mike. Your flies are deadly on those bigger suspended Lakers. I'd say your program is very consistently catching big fish on the fingers, keep up the good work! There will be a few of us guys chasing you till the last FLTA tourney..

Well said John and Mike it's shaping up to be a tight race for the last 3 events, without a doubt going to come right down to Canandaigua in October! John congrats again on your win in the previous tourney that made it even closer for sure!

Great job Mike! And another thing to consider is I have heard the sportsman club has offered their site in the past as a weigh in location for our flta events and it would be a far better location after seeing it for the first time

Those are solid size boxes, very nice. How did you do suttontroller94? I couldn't seem to connect with the bigger fish much yesterday. Half dozen very small LL, one 18" rainbow, 5 lakers but nothing over 4 1/2 pounds. One big fish on, early afternoon but it got off. Nice cool weather out there.
We had similar luck on the Lakers we couldn't find any solid ones however we did change up out program toward the end and did a slam in 20 minutes with a brown, rainbow, Atlantic and Laker all hitting the deck. I can't remember what we weighed but it was somewhere between 23-24lbs

Was won by Jim Stewart with a 32lb box he pursed ~$1060
Second was a 31lb box and they won linker aswell with an 11 and change.
Was 85 entrants and all in all a great event that is hoped to grow next year!

Cheers, looking fwd to it!
Going to be a good time! The prize pack door prizes look great aswell thanks to iron duke trolling flies, Bellis tackle and gambler rigs from Brian Gambell!

That's a beauty! Definitely had more gut than the one we got. I'm hoping these tank landlocks are going to be a new trend

Bump for a good tournament!

12lb works great I don't even remember why I went up to 12 from 10 to be honest. I don't reallreally want to say this without a piece of wood around to knock on but I have yet to break off with quality 12 like Seagar. I even keep my drag set stiffer than most and bring alot of fish to the boat green and haven't had problems. Just keep steady pressure, inspect for nicks and knots often and you'll have no problem. I use the red label seagar but have heard the blue is even better just twice as much $$. DON'T USE BERKLEY VANISH... VANISH LINE=VANISHED LURE

For sure John I can't wait for the Tom margeit memorial tourney over there this Saturday! Hopefully have better luck with the Lakers and stick another 1 or 2 of these bad boys. Not that I'm greedy haha

suttontroller94, that's a real beauty. nice going.
Thanks it was in the final hour of our flta tourney this weekend was getting down to wire so we broke out the desperate measures and it paid off! Currently holding big landlock for the year after beating John's (nautitroller) beautiful fish out by a small margin of 4 oz. Only 3 lakes left to go with only 1 of those containing landlocks. Hopefully that fish will earn us a plaque!

I use about 15ft of 12lb seagar for riggers and spoon dipsys. 15lb for copper and lead and 20lb for flasher fly dipsys
Boat came so close.

Your a better man than me. I've gotten to the point where fishing the small vessel that I do in the area I fish the most I'm not afraid to open my mouth. It's the only way sometimes that people especially those with the big yachts out of Ithaca will give you respect. No one seems to follow the right of ways as far as passing port to port or simple stuff let alone the unwritten rules such as distance separation
