  1. Sweet rifle,I'd hang on to that one. As Tinfin mentioned, they're worth a pretty penny right now. Yours looks to be in really nice condition too.
  2. If you don't already do it, check and sharpen your hooks often. Seems like a no brainer, but if they slide off your thumbnail, they ain't sharp enough. JMO
  3. I saw a posting yesterday in the sidebar recent topics section for a Lund Alaskan w/25 HP outboard for sale in Waterloo... NY I beleive. I cant seem to locate the listing again in any of the forums. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  4. one tactic we use that works fairly well is to lay the length of line with the fleas attached on the surface of the water as it gets a couple yards from the rod tip, then drop the tip, take up a little slack, then rip the tip upwards..this actually strips off a fairly good amount at a time..doesn't always get them all off,but much better than stripping by hand..I've done this just cleaning lines, and with a fish on the line also.. good luck out there!
  5. First mate on a boat is the hardest working person on the boat..Sure, the cap'n deserves most of the credit, but really couldn't run his business without a good mate!! Tip the cap well but tip the mate for doing all the work..It really is work on the back deck! This comes from neither a mate, nor charter cap, just general experience.
