Hey Hornet, hope you're doing well. I've learned alot from reading Sk8man's tricks. As far as stacking, it works great when conditions are right, but gets real ugly when it's not. For instance, in the finger lakes everything has to be tweeked for dealing with smaller fish. I've drowned my share of dinks. In The O, it turns into caos with kings. But I'm a small craft, so I can't risk to much or it becomes a safety issue. I did drop a slider on a rigger cable this past Saturday and wound up drowning a dink Atlantic. Wanted to see what the smaller fish where hanging at 40'. Keep it simple.
Just my opinion. Good luck.

Sorry Walleye, didn't realize that pic would pop up front. Was just trying to lighten a bad situation. Been there too.

That's rough. Sorry to hear it. Every boaters worst fear but you're all safe. Might make you feel better, found this gentleman on the way in this morning.

Thanks guys, ran out to 120 this morning for a couple hrs. Marked alot of fish, but no takers. We both decided to bag it with the east blow. Content with our trip. See you in a week or so. Get after them!

I put them on swivel bases bolted through. That way I can swing them in for service without leaning over the boat as far. Works wonders. No standing on this rig.
I have a similar boat, and was wondering how you mounted those two riggers? Just a backer plate under the rigger base? Thanks!

Finally got wet by 2pm. Punched out Ty's ticket. 1 to 4s what a ride. Went 3 for 4 by 6pm. One took out a dipsey and ran away with $40 worth of gear. Fished off the stacks 90 to 140. Riggers at 80 and 90, FF's all day. Dipseys 150 and 180. 1 dink Atlantic and small coho were bonus throw backs. Great trip. See you tomorrow!

I'll be there with cowbells on tomorrow morning. We're still hanging out at Mexico, gonna take a peek at 2pm see how she handles. If I can run to catfish I'll be in the money. They're definitely catching today.Nice low baller, we refrained from fishing this morning as reports had serious waves yesterday. Might try tomorrow morning but I’m not sure yet. Good luck to you! Also, consider pine grove. The bigger boats are hitting bottom there so perhaps it will have less traffic in the morning, and your boat is small enough to scoot right over the shallow water [emoji4]

Thanks Hornet, it was a little bumpy but worth it. Just want to fish, hanging out with the club at Mexico now. Waiting for the break. Big boats are doing well at 100 on some fresh fish. Alot of the stagers went through the estuary yesterday. So they say? Be safe, they're just fish.Nice job! how was the wind there? I usually don’t fish there until fall and the wind is almost always blowing hard down the lake when I go

Hey newmike, another pa runner with a short rig. Out of the Reading area near blue marsh. Run a 16 with a 25 tiller, hand cranks, etc. Been doing it for 12 years now. Tough fishing, but very rewarding. Keep your head on a swivel out there.
