  1. Thanks Ed - I'm having a survey done this week on a 98 Seaswirl Striper - hoping that goes well.
  2. Having a survey done this week on - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/323260782153308/?ref=messenger_banner
  3. Looking at the Hydra Sports - is it possible to add a kicker to that style of transom? Not sure how it would be trolling Lake O?
  4. Thoughts? -https://m.facebook.com/marketplace/item/284965169459010/
  5. I was thinking more walk around than center console. How do you like that for lake O?
  6. I was thinking Hydrasports, Proline, Seaswirl, Trophy or Angler for the no wood construction - I havent done any research on Edgewater or Robalo, and I think whaler is going to be out of my price range
  7. That's kind of what I have been thinking. I think I might be better off with a newer 21' compared to a slightly older 23' for the money. I've been looking on FB marketplace and Craigslist. Probably going to up my budget to 15-18k
  8. The issue with the long drive is if I wanted to have a survey done, I'd have to find someone local to that area I suppose. Did you have yours surveyed?
  9. Went and looked at a 1989 Chapparel that looked very clean, owner was original for 30 yrs - surveyor found too much moisture/rot in the transom, stringers were rotting, and bulkhead was rotted. Oh well, guess that's why we pay someone to survey. Anyhow, I'm really trying to find something that I can hold onto for the next 10-15yrs and have my son take a more active part of the care - what do you think I'll realistically have to spend to find something solid that will last (I am diligent about maintenance and care - and that's why I want to find something clean that someone hasn't beat the **** out of and left it outside all the time).
  10. Yea I think I'm going to have to up my budget and find something newer. He was able to push a screwdriver through the bulkhead
  11. Good thing I got a survey - transom and stringers as well as bulkhead had moisture and rot.
  12. I have a smaller RTIC that I use for food when needed. I was going to buy the larger one for salmon, my brother had it for camping, but man is it heavy. I ended up with this Igloo, and couldn't be happier. https://www.walmart.com/ip/IGLOO-44807-Full-Size-Chest-Cooler-120-qt-Wht-Org/39462109
  13. Thanks - I'm actually having this boat surveyed on Friday, if all goes well she's mine - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/321352382458456
  14. Has the ignition coil been checked? My merc on my Tracker wouldn't go over 5mph or so when I first got it, ignition coil was bad.
  15. Went and looked at this boat today - 82 yr old owner for the last 30 years. Nice boat for it's age, paying for a survey on Friday and if it's solid, I'll be taking it home (hopefully) https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/321352382458456
  16. I don’t see one - unless it’s the 32k one
  17. If it had a trailer I think it would be sold already
  18. Yea I talked to him because that sounded off to me as well. He said his wife doesn't like the smell of the 2 stroke, she wants a 4 stroke.
  19. Thanks - I saw that one too, trying to find a newer hull - not alot in our area right now.
