    I wanna start fishing in April for Salmon and Trout. I would appreciate advice on trolling lures, flasher Flys, or what to run and how to run, flat line, dipsys, riggers, speed differences. I wanna catch a damn fish. But have no spring experience. Oh and planar boards what about them ? Thank you all helping my pursuit. Respectfully. Just1Skipper2

    What effect do the westerly winds have on the salmon and trout ? Do they move closer to shore or go deep ? Do they move east into Mexico Bay or hug 9 mile toward Catfish ? Or nothing, just staying in or out of the thermocline all over the lake. Any ideas ?

    But I thought, the further out behind ball a flasher/fly is, the circle the flasher creates is like 10' diameter or more. Where as flasher tight to ball flasher can only circle a minimum amount. Please advise

    Thanks for advice. My take away Don't stack flashers, but a cheater off 2nd rigger line.

    Really dumb question BUT here goes Found thermocline 70'-80' down. Rigged flasher&fly 10' back at the ball then a spoon 10' higher. Whole thing turned into a ball of mono & thread. Can some explain correct way to rig with single downrigger. Thank you in advance.
