  5. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Well after the blow thursday (see 8/11 report) we where a little concerned about our honey hole but it was still there. 8/12 Ran n/e out of the genny to our eastern waypoints we have been working. Found that the bait and fished pretty much the same it has been the past few weeks, just alittle deeper. Riggers 85-105 down, 400 copper and wires 250 to 310 on a 2.5. Nbk, get r dones, cartwrights and black/silver/green glow spoons. crazy b*&ch, green dolphin, and mountain dew spinnies even thou the picture was the same we found alot of moving warm water pockets!!!!!! and fish a little more scattered. a few where even lost......taken 105 down over 540' water! anyways. a real good bite all day long with a mix of kings up to 20lbs, a coho and steelhead(including the "big boy). here is a pic and form it you can get an idea of how its been the past few weeks for us offshore. now the info on the big steelhead. It came 115' rigger mountain dew spinny/pro am fly. This fish was physco!!! spent more time out of the water than in. GREAT JOB to the doug Doval and crew for landing it. Weight was 19.11 when hit the scales and is heading to streeters to be mounted. 8/13 report was the second boat on a 2 boat 5 hour charter this am. WOW what can I say it looked like a maze with the boats that where out on the east area we have been working. Found temp had dropped ...50 degrees down 100' and that our picture had changed...less fish/bait. so rather than fight the flee we went further east and some some steelhead. Took a bunch of shaker kings and a few 1 year olds (8 pounds) kings but no big boys today. We had to be back at dock at 11:00 so we didn't have time to find our mother load again. all in all did good on numbers just size wasn't there today. off till Thursday. will post tight lines and thank you to all on the compliments on the steelies.
  6. hey bud. thans and by the way that fish finder is a FCV 582 furuno. i will pull specs and pm you tomarrow.
  7. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== this past weekend 8/6 and 8/7 continued to be good/great offshore with limit catches and big kings. we have been working the 28 north line and further north the past 3 weeks and the fish have been only getting better!!! Up until this past weekend we have pretty much had these waters to ourselves, with no other boats insight, but now that the lake flipped this past week more pressure is being seen on the offshore bite......but it has still been great!!!! Highlights this past weekend include two more fish at Skeeters.....a 15lb steelhead and an 16 1/2 pound Atlantic fish, temp and bait continue to be 60 to 70 foot down. Our fish have been going on the 65 - 85' riggers with dw ss free sliders and nk 28's on short leads off the ball. wires 180 and 250 with spinny/fly's. it has been a toss up the past 3 weeks some days been all spoon bite next day all they chew are flies. green/silver and nbk patterns in both have been the mainstay. NOW FOR TODAY 8/11 headed out with a 7 and 10 year old onboard so decided to try intight for a few for them before heading offshore to our honey hole. shut down in 80' off braddocks to blank screen and 65 degree water to the bottom, rolled north to 180 and found 55 degree water down 130' and still blank screen. pulled and headed north. Will that to was short lived, made it out to the 23 north to be greeted by the biggest wave that capt. rich and i have seen i a VERY VERY long time. an honest 8' wall of water!!! so we opted to had in with the kids and rest of the crew onboard. out fri and sat should be interested after this west blow. will post Saturday afternoon. Tight lines

  9. pops< glad you got into a few. Yeah there is some fish on the inside waters. I had one or two goes around that 220 and also saw the bait/hooks but just didnt like the water. I knew that there would be more sable water deeper and just kept going north.
  10. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:6-2pm Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Well a fast report from today. set up in 160' of the river after seeing some bait and a few hooks down 50' . trolled north to 220 took a rip on wire and got cracked off, hit 300 fow and dumped a good fish on a 400 copper, hit 425 foot and took a 8lb football brown down 75' on nbk. this was around 9am! continued to troll north and ROTTED!!! UNTIL we got out closer to the fence and 600 fow. then the fun began!!! Mix bag of big kings (mid 20's) and bows. Boated another big 15lb bow which is headed to streeters taxidermy to get mounted. Riggers 75 to 105 down best wires 225-310 on 2.5 setting and the 600' copper took a few. it was a Spin doctor bite with hawg wild, nbk, crazy ****, and green all took fish. No free slider fish and they wouldnt touch a mag for us today. Temp. was 55 down 70' hope this helps after the upwelling to all you guys headn out this weekend. Have fun, be safe and tight lines!!!!!

  13. My turn to add to the post. seeing how mr. "big net" aka reeljerks left out somethings....lol About 3 1/2 weeks ago i get a phone call from Mark stating that he wanted to take Jake and paul out on a charter. He states that they are his inlaws, its pauls bday and that his son in law just got done serving 2 tours. HOW can i saw say no to that!!!!! Only thing i had to ask mark is when you wanna go and what to you want- size or numbers. Marks laughs and tells me both- of course. So here i am getting a phone call for a charter from a personal friend that is a rec. fisherman that fishes the pro-am curiut in the pro division (and does great) and also fishes more days a year than most captains. Now here i am thinking I have to go ALL IN and pull all the stops to show him and his family a good time. I talk with Capt. Rich and tell him the skinny. We discuss a game plan. I wanted to get mark on his favorite fish (steelhead) and BIG ONES. I call back mark and tell him that we where going to go for big steel out at the fence for him and his inlaws......H MARK POPPED LIKE A LITTLE KID IN A CANDY STORE. Now to add to the story more. I get to the boat monday morning at 4 a.m. to hear a marine warning stating severe thunderstorms, high winds and hail being forecasted!!!!! 4:30 a.m. i have all rods out and ready to go and the winds starts and so does the lightning...F*%K. My phone rings at 5 a.m. its mark... and the conversation goes like this. mark: " Steve you hear the weather and see the lightning" Me: "yeah i see it and hear it....where are you at now?" mark "on the bay bridge" Me "DRIVE FASTER SO WE CAN GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE AND GET NORTH" so 20 minutes later we are heading out the pier heads with lightning and dark clouds to the south of us. now comes the waves out of the west/north west ...2's,3's,4's oh look a 5 footer. we motor thru the crap over 22 miles to get to where we wanted to go. Both Jake and Paul not feeling to well during all this! Mark.... those 2 guys are awsome and i would love to have them back on my boat anytime. they maned up and stuck thru some tough conditions to catch fish without a single complaint the entire time out. well they may of complained for me "yelling" at them lol with all that being said. Great time out in some poor conditions to start. All quality fish thru out-the steels, kings and even 2 of them slimmy things. Hard hitting, tackle breaking big aggresive fish combined with 3 great guys made it a trip that i will remember. not to mention i am still laughing over the whole "S%*T get the big net!" comment....lmao all day. I want to personaly thank you again for the "extras" you hooked us up with. you the man. secondly the "big net" steelhead will be back from skeeters in 3 to 4 months. Glad we pulled it all together and made it happen. here are a few more pics. here is the 600' copper wraped around or feet on the deck

  20. thanks guys and no problem. ya i am back and looks like gonna be out alot this year with the charters. man i missed it,
  21. Well the fishing off Rochester this spring has been fantasic. The past 5 trips have been nothing short of awsome and today was no exception. I have been asked by a number of people what makes a Great charter instead of a good one. Today was a perfect example. First we had a great group of guys from York PA. One of the guys was in his mid 40's and has NEVER caught a fish in his life...I mean not even a sun fish! Well we popped his cherry today big time and now he is a fishing manic. Second anytime you have a party that tells you that they have had more than enough fish on for one day and tell you to head in early...it's a great day. Next we return to dock to photo and fillet, my group fires up the gas grill and does a full blown cook out for everyone at dock. this is a perfect example of a great day and today was it! Catch - mostly coho's and steelhead, with browns in the mix and an atlantic. hot lure anything pink - spoons on rigs and sticks off boards out again friday will post tight lines and go got "em
  22. well do bud and i'm back so you will see alot more post from me this year. hope all is well with you and talk soon.
