  3. Well another great weekend on the water off rochester. seems to be 2 patterns with the fishery out of the port of rochester. 1: cookie cutter browns thru browns to 10 lbs in the shallows (under 10') they have been going good with sticks 100-125' back with 1 large split shot. Black/silver in the green or clear water and black/gold in the mud. Black gold was smoking this past weekend. 2. next pattern is big browns (10 to 14lb range) and kings in alittle deeper water 15-40 foot range. They have been chewing black/silver sticks off the boards with 2 large split shots. Riggers 7-23' down with black/silver spoons and deep rigger with 6" spin doctor with either lemon/lime 2" coho fly, "king me" 2" fly or the "ufo" fly by ITO. Have not gotten a mag spoon to fire yet. Super slims and 28's have been the ticket. Few other interesting notes- first we did a 13ish pound brown Sunday that had 4 adult gobies in it. These gobies measured 8" long!!!!!!! next we have yet to boat a coho or steelhead....wondering where they are hiding? good luck to all in the LOC alot off big browns and kings off rochester should see them on the leader board tight lines
  4. kAPPY- THANKS! I have gotten a real good program together the past few years after a short break off the water. My new partner and boat has had a blessing and a horseshoe the past 2 seasons. I'm loving it! As for the clients - most of our clients do keep their limit to eat. probably 15% to photo release unless it is a wallhanger. Alot of good recipies out there andyou can always pm fisherman (tom) for special ways of cooking them. if you want a good fish to eat get them spring coho's!
  5. Mike - the peanut fly that has been smoking hot for me is the ITO "mini coho fly" named uv sprite the other fly in pic above is a custom tied job that Ryan at ITO did up for me. Pulling both of them behind 6" spinny with 12" leader between fly and spinny. Black/glow, orange and chart spinnies all been good!
  6. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):4/13/-4/19 Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: KINGS, browns, few lakers, Atlantic and a huge smallmouth Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: 15-40 Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== WOW sorry for the lack of reports been crazy. The bite off Rochester has been on fire!! The lack of rain has made the shallows clear but alittle deeper water has been producing great numbers and quality fish. We have been working 20-40 foot of water to past two weeks and the size of the fish are awesome. Kings up to 16lbs, Atlantics up to 10, Lake Trout to 14 lbs, Browns to 16 lbs and even a smallmouth tipping the scales at over 7 lbs! Limits and boxes full of quality fish...what more can you ask for? With the rains coming this week it is going to only get better and should push in the coho's and turn the shallow bite on. Lure breakdown Black silver sticks 125-150 back off the boards with 2 large shot, Black/silver superslims and 28's off 2 color cores, riggers at 5' and 7' with dirty white boys, black/silver or spooks, riggers 11' and 15' down with 6" spinny and ito lemon/lime peanut or king me special 2" fly. This been the spread the past week and a half for us. Except one day when....... ITO FLIES WHERE ON FIRE!!!!!! WE did a 5 hour charter, hooked up with 18 fish, and boated15 of them. Great catch for a few hours, now 11 of them were KINGS . Here is where it get's even better, 14 fish hit on the new ITO 2" "king me special" fly behind a 6" spin doctor. This set up took fish on the riggers, shallow lead cores and shallow divers. No matter where it was it took fish when nothing else on the boat would take a hit! This Spinny set up has been going all season so far for us. Everyday it has taken our biggest fish and the one day it took all but 4!!!! some pics for past week

  8. Barry, Nothing short of a great time. Not only did you guys pull a very respectible limit of fish for the conditions but NONE STOP LAUGHING ALL DAY LONG! that smallmouth was awesome still can't beleive how fat it was! Here are a few pics - if there are any others you want posted let me know and i will get them on here for you - know you have trouble posting them (i will not comment on why )
  9. Troutstalker, I hate to even have to do this post but it is what it is. I am a a USCG license captain out of rochester and fish the IBAY area often. MOST of the time i would suspect that the captain may of been doing something else and or not paying attention and wouldn't do it on purpose. Alot run and troll on autopolit and this allows them to concetrate on "other things". Not making excuses just stating facts. No matter what the situation any boat operator EXSPECIALY a captain should follow the rules of the road, be in control of the situation, use their brain and be aware of possible bad situations. My advice to you is if you are 100% possitive you are in the right and feel unsafe contact the uscg, be it a rec boat, power boat, charter boat or what have you. Most boats out and around IBAY have a boat name somewhere on them. Sorry for the encounter not all of us are like that

  15. i have a bunch of 6 and 8" dodgers -any colors you looking for specificly?
  16. Well unfortunitly i will not be able to make the LOTSA show this weekend Just wanted to do a post to everyone that plans on attending the event and let everyone know to make sure they stop by ITO flies booth. For those that are not familar with Ryan's fly's they are nothing short of superior! the quality and craftmanship are top notch. The color combo's are all fish colors and all very unique - nothing else like them on the market. If there is a combo that you would like to see done - he will custom make it for you. I have had a bunch of color combo's custom made for me and every time the finished product has always exceeded my expectations. Then there is his 6" flies for the really big boys. On a closing note There will be a great price on all these flies - you will be shocked.Hope everyone enjoys the show and look forward to reading all the post show posts.
