  1. Thanks tom for the clarification on exactly where that tip developed. I have been talking with you for awhile online andon phone helping you and answering questions regarding lake Ontario fishing. we love what we do and will help anyone we can. We have helped alot of members of this board in alot of ways and will continue to do so. i knew that you where making your first trip out fishing on saturday so i texted you a tip to help make your day fun and catch a few. The tip was where we worked our butt off to catch a limit for OUR clients on friday during bad weather conditions and a very tough bite. I was trying to help a fellow fisherman by texting you that night. I asked you to keep the tip to yourself. It was a direct slap in our face seeing another charter captain post your name, your "tip" and how it made his clients happy and HIM look good while puting $1,200.00 in his pocket on Rich and myselves hard work the day before. We will help anyone still but when we do please dont turn around and kick us in the groin after. all good tom and thank you for the clarification. Yankee- we did a sweet atlantic there also and it was crazy - crossed every board line than ran for sodus.
  2. Long leads today 125' and hedges was best 13 foot water47.7 temp at hedge 44 at shipbuilder with mud at mine field of logs .....I will post next time instead of texting
  3. It definately was tough all the wAy around out there friday. The toughest day we have had in along long time
  4. Hmmmm....wonder where that 47 degree water was lol Great job bud!
  5. Raymarine wasn't all that gotta work out.... Richie had to work all day for his peanut butter crackers. Dodging logs and floaters all over. Added note the highlight today was a 10lb Atlantic that we boated...after it crossed and tangled 3 other planet lines lol
  6. Well let me start by saying that today you had to work all day long. Definatley a day that separates the men from the boys!!! Left dock at 5:45 a.m. rain shower and dark. Then greeted at pier heads with think fog with only 100' visibility at best. Then a mine field of debris for almost 3 miles! Raymarine was put to the maximum test and having the best electronics you can afford/ get was a must to fish on the water today!! Then comes the fishing FINALY can set up in the fog. 8 fow and can't see shore at all! Put out spread on the boards and the Scottys set.....8:45 first rip off board a 3 pound king uggg. Finaly found a pocket of water where was nice green and temp went from 44.7 to 48 degrees! Thinking gonna to light them up now....wrong! Changing lures on boards and set backs all day and same with riggers. Managed only 4 rigger/spoon bites all day, and tried EVERYTHING. Magenta shad Great Lakes wobbler took a soldier steelhead and same lure in black/silver took a football brown. That's it off riggers. All rest of hits and fish boated came off sticks off the boards stretches 120'+ back. Limited out for our guys but had to work for bites! ALL fish boated came unhooked in net and all empty stomachs when filleted, definately not on the feed today. Tough bite, bad visibility but still got fish and everyone had a good time.
  7. Special thanks to Great Lakes lure company for not only adding us as their rep. for Lake Ontario but also for making sure our custom color spoons and order was on the boat for our trip this morning . Thank you Jason and we look forward to working with you. Capt Steve and Capt Rich
  8. Capt. Rich and Capt Steve just spent 2 hours with the owner of GReat lakes lure company. We had a chance to see the shop, JAson walked us thru every step of the processes involved in making his spoons from bending, pressing to polish and painting. All we can say is wow. Coming soon we will be posting a color/size chart on FB and our website for anyone who is looking for their products! We will be field testing some spoons and new designs for Great Lakes over the next few weeks .... Stay tuned
