  1. Hi Gang, Looking for some advice. I have a Sierra Fuel Filter that is one of those canister in line fuel filters that separates the water from the gas. I am trying to replace my 2018 filter however when I try to unscrew it, the filter turns however it is turning inside and is not unscrewing. It turns super tight and I'm afraid I am going to break the plastic housing the filter is housed on.Ugh! Any experience when this happens. This is my 2019 boat challenge!! Thanks, Bob Lyons
  2. Hi Gang, I have son #2 attending Saint Lawrence University in Canton. It's parent's weekend coming up and was looking for a suggestion on where the two of us can do some shore fishing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Bob Lyons
  3. Hank is the best in my book....period!!
  4. Perfect! Thank you both for your response. Regards, Bob Lyons
  5. Hi Gang, Simple question. I have a Moor Subtroll and the wire is showing some age, ie there are bare spots showing. Where can I buy replacement wire. I recall there were 2 differerent lb test however I heard to go with the lighter versions. Anyhoot, looking to respool my rigger going into 2019. Regards, Bob Lyons
  6. Hi, I traced what I could and didn't see any blown fuses but thanks for the reply. Bob
  7. Hi, I need someone who can come to my boat at Mayers Marina and install a Stereo. I had an old radio in there before, I then copied the configuration and installed a new radio... It worked fine but then stopped. My guess is its a power issue. I bought a new stereo and now i just don't have the tools to troubleshoot it. Looking for a tech. I truly dont think this is a complicated fix but its beyond me. My boat is a Sea Nymph from 1995. Thanks Bob Lyons Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Hi Fishnut, Thanks for the insight. I will check that out however in my case the bulb on the Tohatsu fuel line is really soft and when it is hot from being in the sun the bulb just flattens out when drawing gas. I might add it also has to go through an inline fuel filter too. It only happened a few times so at this point I'm not overly concerned about it. When the motor does begin to sputter, I just go back to the bulb and manually squeeze it and we are good. Again, thank you for the input. Regards, Bob Lyons
  9. Yes but thanks. I bought one at a local store and it costs $50! Sent from my XT1095 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Unlike the days of late, this was a great one Anthony. We have to get out and get Chris out as well. And to respond to an earlier post, yes I used flashers/flies. Everything worked....it was one of those days. Regards, Bob
  11. Ditto on Anthony's report. We had three doubles on!! 80' fow was great fishing 40-60 ft down. Slide divers were very productive. Best lure was an old favorite.....Silver Bullet with red head and decorated with a black ladder on it's bottom. Anyhoot I think a beer can trolled would have worked today. Also got some nice browns in the mix too. Tight lines and a great day today. Hopefully it keeps. Regards, Bob Lyons
  12. Beyond. Thanks to both of you for making my evening!!!

  15. A cool upgrade for my boat Hi Gang, Just want to pass on some info. I had an AM/ FM Cassette record. Talk about dating yourself. I made the big leap and finally switched out the radio and put in a Kenwood Marine stereo for like a $100. Such a cool upgrade. I get my calls now on the radio and when fishing is slow which we all know rarely happens.... it is cool to listen to spotify, podcasts etc.. via bluetooth from your phone. Bottom line... don't deny yourself! Regards, Bob Lyons
  16. Thanks for the kind offers but I'm good going forward. Regards, Bob Lyons
  17. Thanks to both of you for responding. Based on your answers, I actually had some boat wax and dabbed that on the snaps and that totally did the trick. Too bad I didn't do this earlier but many thanks! Bob Lyons
  18. Canvas Snaps Hi Gang, This is sort of a dumb question but my snaps on my canvas are so hard to separate that it's breaking the snaps. Is there a solution to this? Thanks, Bob
  19. Tom always enjoy your posts. Just got my boat in the water after a year and a half. So great to be out again. Thanks Bob Lyons Sent from my XT1095 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Too funny! There is one thing. The Kicker runs great and then on occasion sputters and I can see that the bulb is compressed. Not sure what that is? Overall I love it. Thank you again! Sent from my XT1095 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. 12 lb Cannonball Wanted Hi Gang, Made another donation to Lake Ontario today on the maiden voyage of the Sea Lion. Wanted to get a temp so I attached my Moor Sub Troll to my rigger with the breakaway cable holding the 12 lb ball. I can tell you the break away worked. Going 30 seconds on a troll when I saw the rigger wire go limp. GRRRRRR! Happy though it was the break away and not my sending unit. Anyhoot, now in need of a normal 12lb round cannonball. I live in Penfield but don't want to go too far out of the area. Thanks, Bob
  22. Fish Finder Hi Gang, Looking for a no nonsense Fish finder that has temp and speed at the surface/ GPS and the most important, great fish finder capabilities. I don't need color. I ask this since mine is OK but just ok. Suggestions? Again always the best info here, truly. Thanks, Bob
  23. No it doesn't Sent from my XT1095 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
