Nice. They do look like a cross between Penn Yan and Thompson. That 240 looks very similar to a 255 Penn Yan,especially with the pulpit. I am a big Penn Yan fan, but these NEW thompsons sure look nice. I always thought the bottoms of the Thompson were too rounded?? IMHO.

I would definitely suggest getting a survey by a professional. Sportcraps are notorious for rotten stringers . Just my .02 If it is a solid boat, then that 27' sport is a great fishing boat that can handle some big water, smooth and dry.

Trying to find someone to travel alone or with my crew 5 hours from PA to sit on a strangers boat and not get to fish is IMPOSSIBLE! I have tried young, old, rich, poor, doesnt matter. If there is a NO observer rule I would fish most NY tournaments regularly. (because of my captains license I am limited to pro division with an observer)
