  1. Ray sorry I couldn't attend. Grandson got dedicated in the AM then I met my friends out in the canal and hammered the large mouth for a few hrs then headed down to FINALLY GET MY BOAT !! Arrived in your neck of the woods (Bath) at 9pm. Rob did a great job on the boat and I will put up some pics. I will finish the rub down/wax job and have all the tackle in the boat by Tuesday night and will be out of Sandy Creek on Wednesday in the AM and then maybe again in the PM, might be a solo job for me in the AM then the wife in the PM (love those 2 extra rods). Glad to hear you hammered them. PS. I did get another "COON" 6 days 20hrs later on my way home about 2 miles from the house. It ran out across the street and I just crushed it with car and trailer
  2. I have a Sea Nympth Deep V and am looking for a bow mounted long shaft trolling motor.
  3. CM, Heard they are getting some browns in the AM off Summerville.
  4. RAY YOU ARE TOO FUNNY!! HAMBURG FLIPPER THAT WOULD BE JAX  . THE RACCOON IS ON 77N NOT 18E OR 18W, TRAVELED BOTH DIRECTIONS THAT MORNING  . As far as the boat goes I just talked to the guy on the telephone (that would be the big black box hanging on the wall of your trailer that has a crank on the side and the thingy that you hold up to your ear and the lady lets you talk to someone in another town and you can hear them in your ear  ) I pick it up on Sunday and am going staright to some water to crank it up. Maybe smallies on Canadaguia a buddy of mine got 5 or 6 over 4#
  5. Saw this on ebay and thought they looked good. I might just purchase a few. http://stores.ebay.com/Catchem-All-Fishing-Company
  6. I believe that CD fell out of your tackle box  That sweat shirt answers the question as to why I woke up the next morning with a rash
  7. OK OK OK OK! First off less that 3 hrs sleep after working 11hrs in a hot kitchen and being up since 5am Saturday morning it wasn't taking much to rock me to sleep at like 2 in the afternoon, but I fought it off as long as I could. Real funny Ray. First off let's state the fact that I DID NOT CATCH THAT FISH YOU DID  I did however drop a good size king that I believe was not going to place us on the board, but then again by the time you got the other two lines off it from the "WHEEL MAN" or was his name "HARRINGTON KEEP THE BOAT STRAIGHT" or was it "HARRINGTON WHAT HAPPENED TO HEADING WEST, NORTH,EAST OR SOUTH"  it wasn't coming in. Let me tell you guys something nothing worse than being on a boat during a derby with 4 guys that you literaly met 20 minutes ago and you drop a "good" fish in 15 minutes after you drop the lines in All in good fun Ray :!: I REALLY REALLY REALLY had a great time with you guys yesterday We caught some nice fish on some spoons that he taped up (Watch out Billy there could be a new lure guy on the block with the Creamsickle!!!) Ray was a gracious host never got mad about anything boat turning, dipsey's not being locked, his beers being spilled , not getting the right tackle box handed to him, gas being put in the wrong tank, none of it While I was asleep for all of 30minutes did you guys watch the rods? Or was it just a coincidence that I wake up and the first thing I see other than your mug was a pole banging and no one going after it? Talk about craming 50# of you know what into a 10# bag, he did it for me!!!! 5 guys was tight (Ray did seem to rub against us alot for some reason though:? ) I have never been out in a boat for 11hrs straight. You are welcome aboard my boat anytime if I ever get it back :x :x I gots a little tip fer yall (started talking like that after fishing with 4 guys from Corning for some reason) Ray read about yellow and silver and we put it on when it got slow and we got 3 or 4 fish in a row on it including the 1 nice king that we landed! Thank you very much again I will look you up if I get down that way to see my dad. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THE RAIDERS HAVE WON 3 SUPER BOWLS OR 1 LESS THAN THE BILLS HAVE LOST  GO SILVER AND BLACK
  8. DB I would contact the US Coast Guard do make sure you get the "right answer" to be on the safe side. Here's the number for the Rochester Coast Guard station. (585) 544-4738 Good luck and either way be careful and don't be afraid to cut friends off for the good of the group :!: :!:
  9. Steve major congrats for Fridays catch See 5th http://www.loc.org/derby/leaderboard/currentadult.asp

  13. Ditto what Woody says Awesome boat if I needed a boat wouldn't hesitate 1 minute on this.
  14. Ray I may just take you up on that offer for Sunday (Saturday I can't for sure) I will let you know. It's ok if yall fish with one of us big city folks though? I prefer LONGROD though  ! I don't care if I reel in a rod or not. Just as long as it's not a wire rod with a untripped dipsey and a 20# king on the other end, right Steve and Jack Gambler thanks for the offer. Did Jax break your boat
  15. My boat is still in the canvas shop in Bath Ny while the derby is on and I find out that the gentelman working on my top has come down with MONO :x  and I'm not talking fishing line either :!: He has had the virus for a week plus now and still needs "3 full days of work" to finish it He's hoping to work a few hours a day on it if he feels well enough but can't push it or he'll be laid up for 3 months instead of 1 and when your married with kids and self employed that's not good. So he's not pushing it which I understand, but man I'm dying over here
  16. Jax you forgot to mention that woke up at 6:20, the time you were supposed to be at the dock  . That skunk smell we had going was coupled with rotting brown trout carcasse  :x Thanks for taking me out! I WAS STARTING TO GET PISSED READING THESE POSTS. 1 day down 6 or less to go before the boats back) Did you look in your cup holder :?:
  17. Tank thanks (that sounds funny ) I will be going out of Sandy too. Hope to meet up with you some time.
  18. Tank thats a nice info filled report! Wish I could get out but no boat for about a week so (hoping it's less ) while my boat gets a new top I'm looking to tag along with somebody if they need a partner  Weekday mornings are good for me :!:
  19. Yes it is the Nautolex. Evil I turned me on to using 3-M spray on glue. It worked great and was about like $9 - $11 a can at home depot. It comes in 70, 80 or 90. Use the 80 or 90 I used almost 2 cans to do my floor. Spray it on the floor and on the back of the vinyl wait about 3 minutes then just press it on. Not to messy and holds great . LT are you in Rochester?
  20. Silverspoon, Rule of thumb is slow in the spring when water is cold and the fish aren't real active with long leads of generally 100' to 150' or more back. Very lengths and see what's working that day. Look for the "pea green" water and zig zag in and out with your lures or just stay in that water and move depths from as shallow as you can to a little deeper but stay in the green. Sometimes they are lurking right at the "line" Go with both sticks and small to medium size spoons. Some guys prefer to use jointed sticks, some use unjointed sticks and some run both. Look at the lure next to the boat and try to get a speed that gives you a nice slow roll or wobble. Look over site for older posts and you will see what colors people prefer. Orange and gold, black and green, perch, brown trout, chartruse and watermelon those are some of the popular colors in spring. No question is a dumb question on this site guys will help out
  21. LT come to the VINYL side If you look under the link on this forum page that says floor there is a link for where I bought my vinyl if you do decide to go that route
