  1. The net on the left opens about 2 inches short of the latch (but works fine) and the net on the right has a few small breaks in it but they are the same nets and the pole from the right can be put on the pole from the left. Ray aka CORNING HVAC BOY Ray this net will NOT work for you because of the size! Way to big for the fish YOU catch they would go through the holes http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t26/ ... C04817.jpg Both for free! I used the one on the riight the last few trips out without problem. Nets can be picked up at my house (Chili) or work (downtown Rochester)
  2. Erin when I was out a week and a half ago. I put down yellow because of the experiance with Ray during the derby and the yellow fired right away. Added more yellow to the spread but kept everything else (depth down, number of spoons in the water, speed, fixed cheaters and sliders) the same and everything kept firing that had yellow on it. Purple, black and green spoons in that spread didn't go so changed them to yellows too and they produced. Some times it's a matter of direction and currents as to how the lure moves too. Maybe the "non hot" lure is not in that "strike zone" or wobbling like the other hot color would because you aren't going through at the same angle/speed. I have changed spoons when a color is producing and have more luck on other riggers after changing. Ray less of you is more
  3. I think we have weather everyday or we would all be dead. Hey CORNING HVAC BOY, what in gods name does that mean :? :?: If it's nice on on Sunday I might get out with the Mrs. Wanna meet up? Does your wife fish or is that her the time she uses to get you the heck out of the house and she can get some rest
  4. Much congatulations to you and your wife:D :!: That's a great looking little fishermen you got there. 2 more rods, 2 more rods, 2 more rods. Dan as far as Mr. HVAC BOY Ray's response about you having 30 seconds and your wife had 9 months, well this will ease her pain have her think about Ray's wife, how long she's been married to him and what she's had to endure . Having a baby, is nothing when you think of it that way
  5. Nice looking steelie Jeweee Glad you had better luck than I did. Hope the 900 gets back to me soon Had a few nice marks on the screen but couldn't get them to fire no matter what I threw at em or from what direction. Did notice it got sunny right as I pulled out of the launch. Did they come after 10:30
  6. Ray! I was moving and I do have a compass that I can read just wasn't paying attention to it overall. I just needed to see structures on the shore a few more times to know, like I said hadn't been east really at all. On the way back in it had me heading south I just didn't realize I was that far east. You know out by yourself setting and resetting poles, leaning overboard to take pee  , boats doing some circles. Thanks for all your input and help. Ray does the power buttom look like your wiper switch
  7. It's getting close now  :lol. team L.O.U.S.E.R.S or maybe team BILLS
  8. MT, you don't need to make the drive (I did in hopes that I could get a quick fix but couldn't ) With gas prices depending on how far you have to drive it might be cheaper to have it shipped. I used over a quarter of a tank of gas from Chili  It's only about 10 minutes after the end of the thruway and onto 190. They do have referbished units. Give them a call ob pricing and shipping
  9. Yeah he's a real F#@*N comedian  His church said he should try another occupation after he screwed up the Baptismal pool  maybe stand up would work for him :?:
  10. rob I had them work on my unit a few years back and they did it for me un a few hours and I was able to pick it up without driving back home. Today they had alot going on but talked with me for awhile and said they would get back with me after they try and fix it. Nice guys.
  11. Rob funny you should ask  I just got back fromdriving to Buffalo because I took my Sub troll 900 up there to have it checked/repaired (water in old probe and other probe is being checked out) because that was my first thought yesterday too.
  12. Thanks Jerry :!: I thought I was east just wasn't sure how far. I haven't fished east of Sandy until last night, it's always been straight out or west and I couldn't see the pump house (you know the "identifing land mark on shore" I use!) to the west. I was more shocked with the fact that the gps was screwie. Since I saw you on the shore I figured I would ask. It's the first time I have had a problem with it, and like I said when I got back to the front of Sandy it worked fine  . I'll take you up on your offer some time. Raymond, I would have to say that me running out the gas at the dock was perfect on my part that's knowing my boat. Got out all the old gas and the Evinrude has been running great since then. We don't want to get into your SIPHONING WATER OUT OF THE GAS/WHICH TANK DO WE HAVE GAS IN SITUATION :? AT OLCOTT DO WE . Ray, Pro/Am doesn't look like it's gonna work for me
  13. Pat saw your boat too. I can't get out Thursday but am gonna try a day trip on Wednesday.
  14. I have a question reguarding GPS. I went out and punched up my waypoint right away that I have been getting fish at and it pointed me to go south instead of north :? Then when I went and I punched in Sandy creek on the way back in and it had me going south but a mile east of the creek :? :? . I haven't fished that much out there so when I got to the shore line it didn't look familiar so I asked a guy on shore and he said I was east about 1 mile. When I headed west my Sandy marker showed up on the screen in front of Sandy. When I got to the creek I punched up my fishing spot again and it had it pointed in the right direction this time. What would cause this, any ideas :?:
  15. Took a late run out to Sandy (6:00pm) hoping the rain helped. Water was crystal clear (Ray that's clear as GIN) . Set up in 90ft and trolled to 230ft. Marked maybe 5 fish total  . Couldn't get a bite to save my life :x Trolled back into 150ft then picked up and ran into 80ft before dark and marked a few fish but again nothin :x . Surface temp was 60 degrees from where I set up all the way out to 200 ft then went up to 61 :? WOW what a change. Well it was at least a nice night out for a ride.
  16. Instead of fighting like a cinder block, it probably fought like a whole building
  17. YT maybe you didn't get the pepsi and rubberbands to you as fast as last time so you were off your game a little bit
  18. I don't think I could do that Saturday I would have to wait and see what is going on that day. What's the entry cost :?: If I could swing iot I might be in Ray let's not abbreviate it  swear to god I would take no doze before getting on the boat, or maybe more than the 7 hours of sleep I had gotten over those other two days.
  19. WOW  BILLY SOUNDS LIKE YOUR BEING CALLED OUT BY THE OLCOTT CHAMP TEAM YT (MINUS THE BOAT B*#&CH/WAITRESS) :!: maybe a little side bet might be in order Does anybody now if you have to observe both days and if not anybody need a 1 day guy:?: Saturdays I can't do :x
  20. Ray glad to see you ended up with some action. Sounds like it was slow for eveybody for the most part. Remember give me a shout if you want to get out.
  21. I couldn't remember what channel you said (tried 9-10-72) I had a friend that did that same thing first time I took him out  (actually it was the guy I fished with Wednesday) You should run the extra few miles to Sandy it's nice there. I fished Ibay for the last 13 years and won't go back there now. If you want give me a shout and we'll get out together if you want.
  22. I am looking for a cottage in Fairhaven (Billy, Nancy doesn't rent them any more :x but gave me a couple of options, thanks) or Sodus. I would like to be on the water. Any info would certainly be appreciated
