  8. What an awesome event!! Well done Nick/Teressa and crew!! Some very nice fish caught, great food, and lots of great times had by all! I must say, it was a pleasure having Tom on board with us again this year! He did a fantastic job today on the rods and landing our biggest king of the year so far tipping the scales to 26.09 and sitting in 15th place in the Summer LOC!! For those fishing the event tomorrow out of Arney's, I'll run a Calcutta for anyone who wants in - $50/boat, largest 3 fish combined weight. Here are some pics from today, will post more later:
  9. We're good for Sunday. Will any of the vets be able to join us if it's moved to Sunday?
  10. Current NWS offshore point forecast: Friday N wind 15 to 18 kt decreasing to 10 to 13 kt in the afternoon. A slight chance of showers after 1pm. Waves 4 ft subsiding to 2 ft. Friday Night N wind 7 to 10 kt. Partly cloudy. Waves around 1 ft. Saturday NNE wind 8 to 11 kt. Mostly sunny. Waves 1 to 2 ft. So using the general rule of X2 for the NWS forecast, we'll be in 4-8 footers on Friday for the BFF event and it'll settle down to 2-4's for Saturday... Let's hope their wave forecast is right for once...
  11. Looking forward to another amazing event this year!! While Friday looks a bit sporty, forecast is looking good for Saturday - let's hope it holds!!

  20. Pretty cool, I have never seen these ones from Finland...
  21. I think it is like anything else, you have to adjust and tweak things a bit to get them to work (i.e. leader length, etc.). I also remember some anglers were getting better results last year by tying the leaders direct to the flasher rather than using a swivel clip - gave more action on the fly or spoon trailing behind.
