  1. That’s got to fill you with pride? There are dam few people around that could build a boat by hand these days and even fewer that would not only complete it but use it as a daily driver. That’s great!! I do have a question. How much trouble did you have getting your boat numbers??? I’d love to build a boat someday. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    close to shore

Water is getting pretty warm to catch trout or salmon inside of 40 FOW. Depends what the wind does to the warm water. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. I find tossing my trolling bags takes a lot of the rock and roll out of the waves, they make the boat cut the water. even if you don't need them to get your speed down, toss your bag's in and increase your RPM's this will also give you back some boat control in the ruff stuff. JMT.

  5. NymphO you are a hell of a quick study!!! ( l mean this in a good way ) You bought a basket case boat in the late winter early spring and totally rebuilt it. Dove head first into trolling, walleye salmon, Lakers and pan fish. And your tearing hell out of it!!! Good job brother!! And excellent reports. Keep it up. Building memories is great isn’t it??? White board on boat helps to keep track

I don’t track that stuff either, but if I get hit I always check to see what my line counter says before I start fighting the fish so I can get back to the same location. I also do this before I bring up my riggers. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Planer Board Knot

I ran 250 or so before, was trolling a large flat that had boulders that were only 2 feet under water on a 10 foot deep flat that was 250 feet wide. works well.

    best knot for wire

I use a crimping tool. I bought it on eBay, works great. I tied some walleye worm harness with it using wire. Works great for that too. It wasn’t very expensive either. I think it was 20 bucks with shipping cost. And if you have one you will actually use it more than you think you would. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    Tracker fuse panel

This is the one I used on my boat. I also used the same model on my RZR to install a radio, LED lights, a cab heater and interior lights. You can get them from eBay or amazon. Amazon was cheaper. There very good quality. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Downrigger counters

It doesn’t measure distance, it measures pressure. The water pressure is different at different depths. So it is more accurate than any counter that doesn’t account for blow back. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. We had the worst trip ever. Boat over heated 2 miles out of the shoot. We drifted for 2 hours, while drifting we jigged up a nice brown. Finely got a tow back to the launch because when the boat overhead the coil went bad. So we ran to the boat shop and bought points, condenser, coil, and a new impeller. I installed all the new parts in my buddy’s boat and it still overheated. Back to the boat shop and bought a new cage for the impeller. Installed the new parts again. Back out the shoot and it overheated again. Made it back to the dock this time and loaded it on the trailer. I have know idea what could be wrong with his boat. I checked the impeller shaft it’s not broke. Any ideas what it could be???????? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
