  1. Liam was first at bat this weekend. He hauled in a couple of nice Kings. Little Gray boated a very nice King that tipped the scales at 25 pounds. He had a real battle. We did not boat a ton of fish this weekend so it was hard to nail down a real pattern. We fished from 150- 300 feet of water. Majority of the fish came between 175-200 feet of water. White spin doctor with Green dots with a hammer fly was the best rig. 275-300 feet on a 2 1/2 setting. Green echip with a hammer fly took a couple also. Hammer fly seemed to be the key fly on wire and riggers. Copper rigs were slow. Thanks to Jersey Jim from Double J for coming aboard to mate for us. He was a brave man coming aboard with the boys. Also had fun fishing aboard the Double J with Jim Sunday morning. We had a great time. We will be back up Thursday afternoon.
  2. Thanks guys. He was pumped. Liam and Gray had their turns last weekend. Gray did a fat 25 pounder and Liam did a 19 and some otheres. Post some pics later.
  3. Bmhaynie, yes my boat is in the water and we have been having a good time fishing out of it. Wrights Landing Red #19
  4. Thanks to Pete of ON THE LAM and Frank from HOME OFFICE for getting Gray into some Browns Sunday morning aboard the ON THE LAM. King fishing was slow so Pete and frank wanted to take us out to get my boys into some Browns. Liam decided he had to sleep in due to a long night at Harbor Fest, so Gray had to do all the battling. Gray had a real heartbreaker when a 10-11 pound plus hooked jawed male cut the line on a rigger while trying to net that pig. He had a last burst of energy that we did not expect and he got into the rigger wire. Gray caught a few browns and dropped a few fish as he was the only one who fought the fish that morning. He did manage to bring in a 7 pounder. He man handled the 10 colors lead core rod tipped with a orange veggies spoon if I can remeber correctly. He picked the orange color scheme for our spoon program which seemed to be producing. He learned a ton more aboat sportfishing also. He learned a very colorful word used when one loses a 11 pound Brown in the riggers and how to tell a guy off in a New Jersey fashion who was roaring in the harbor in a no wake zone and dangerously overtaking a vessel incorrectly. He was reminded of the unwritten law of "what is said and happens aboard stays aboard" Thanks for taking the pictures Frank. Thanks for burning your gas Pete and another one for the memory bank aboard the ON THE LAM. Thanks again guys. We had a blast!
