  3. Here are the possible limitations/ questions of this study, that were pointed out by the study presenter at the end during questions & answers. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. All These fish studies were tracked with Receivers on the bottom of Lake Ontario ( GLATOS tracking system ) The Lake Ontario Receivers are primarily in North Eastern Part of Lake. They would be a semi east to West line from just south Of Henderson Harbor to south of all these Islands (Stoney Island To Galloo islands to Main Duck Island) to Prince Edward Point Canada. From that line Northward coverage of ALL bay of Quinte and up the St Lawrence river to almost Clayton. Then heading west on Canadian side there is a long line of Bottom receivers well south of Picton/Prince Edward area that go straight out into the lake.. And the last bottom of lake Receivers are on the west end of Lake Ontario from Niagara River north to Pickering, Canada area. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  5. Answer: East End This could be one explanation of why so few Atlantic Salmon are caught. Atlantic overall lake-wide distribution is where there is very little if any fishing fleet activity, in both USA and Canada. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I could have guessed that starting off with Atlantic Salmon lakewide distribution would be a bad idea, but Coho- Browns -Rainbows and Chinook are much more predicable results. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. PART #2 Which part of Lake Ontario do the majority of Atlantic Salmon use as their main area in overall distribution ? CHOICES: West End of Lake Ontario Central Lake Ontario East End of Lake Ontario Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  8. Non-April fools version of Chinook study in English. It is incredible the amount of Information these tags collect, If the tags can be returned. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. So here is the actual movement of this specific lake trout, which by the way is the only one in the study that did this. Every other lake trout in the study stayed in the East End. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. I believe Canadian Torrey, Earl we cannot make this thread political, as I have a tendency to do. I just need to keep telling myself that !!! Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  13. Cornelius, This is exactly what the Lake trout did, Except going with a east to west Canadian current, It hugged the Canadian jagged northern shoreline to stay away from the more predominant west to east Lake Ontario current. Then made an actual "as the crow flies" direct southwest route to Niagara river mouth. This is the studies Interploation of route near middle of lake travel. Traveling circus Mike & Whaler Bill, obviously have known me for WAAAY Tooooo long. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  14. VERY cool, nice work. Thanks for sharing. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  15. This is absolutely better than anything I could come up with for April fools day........................ No, this is NOT an April fools joke, just waiting for a few more guesses. But I sure would of "had" all you guy's on this one, if it was an April fools joke............. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  16. How long do you think it would take a lake Trout to swim across Lake Ontario (Bay of Quinte to Niagara River mouth) ? Please give a few guesses and then I will post answer along with seminar video detailing this Lake Trouts journey. I would like to share more of my meetings & seminars/symposiums & travels Lakewide I am involved in year round. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  17. Free online Registration is closed, BUT you can still just show up, I just confirmed. GOALS: "A Lake Ontario FISHERIES ( this includes ALL warm water species and bays/ponds/tributaries ETC.). awareness & opportunities for all-aspiring anglers and help retention and recruitment in these fisheries. When you buy a N.Y. state fishing license , it supports all fisheries, not just the one pourpous it was bought for. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  18. With trout season opening up in about 1 week in that entire part of the state, and Bass Pro Shops carries just about everything for everyone's outdoor needs, would seam like a pretty good business move to promote what is in season currently. I appreciate Bass Pro shops supporting any recreation in N.Y. State, They also still sell firearms and offer training examples: "37+ STATE CONCEALED CARRY FIREARM PERMIT & GUN LAW CLASSES" & "NY Handgun Safety Pistol License Course" Jerry RUNNIN REBEL

  23. With the shore ice finally moving off the south shore beaches, seagulls will search all day for what “rolls” onshore( mostly dead or dying ) bait. Only gobies so far. Large dead ones and small live ones getting picked off every morning by mergansers. NO commorants migrating in so far. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
