Still a brown trout Bite. Lots of boats. fish from 6-12. 3-7 all browns. Just couldn't boat them today. friends of mine caught some cohos mix in with the browns 100-160 fow. 85-110 down. Pat

Hello Guys, What is the rule for amateur division on who fishes with you? My problem is a want a another fishermen to be on my team but he is a license guide not a captain. Can he still fish the amateur division with us? i'll be fishing the owsego PRO-AM if it makes a difference. Thanks, Patrick

A good place would be oswego or mexico bay. Not far from syracuse at all. End of july and august are USUALLY the best time of the year to catch kings in the eastern end. If you need to get a phone # for a local captain just PM me and ill give you some names and numbers. Pat

I notice that the water temp was 38-40 degree range.

Never fish the big lake in march before. so it was pretty cool to get a nice jump start on the season. We went fishing for a couple hours to make sure every thing is working right and check all the equipment in the boat. of course 1 downrigger cable snaps and missing some other tools on the boat. But overall every thing works good. caught one brown in 12 fow east of the little salmon and that was it. it was just nice to get out. cant wait for the rest of season.
