  1. The flapper valve is in the exhaust tube to keep water from entering the engine in following seas if you have good exhaust flow. The valve is not the issue. Is there any contamination in your exhaust water ? Catch some and look at it Also is your cooling system open or closed ?

  2. Then you feel any member should be fair game? DWI, domestic dispute?  Because this sounds personal!

This is a sporting website , not a police blotter. And it is not personal in the context you infer. It IS personal in that I condemn his crime against the sport of wildfowling He gives us all a black eye.

If you think for one second that PETA fund for animals and every other anti hunting/fishing organization in the world isn't all over stories like these you are sadly mistaken. We need to condemn these actions or be seen as like minded criminals

  3. First I know what he did is illegal & wrong. Second, I have never met the man & have nothing to gain or lose here. I have watched videos on YouTube. I know I'm going to tick some guys off here but there are several different practices that I think are done regularly by guides & members that are questionable at best. Does anyone think, throwing back skippers & other fish that have been dragged or mortally injured during the fight, that we know are dead or going to die , to avoid use in creel count, is OK? We all know it happens regularly as Captains & weekend warriors run through skippers mixed with juveniles to get clients & themselves fish for the "cooler"! Does keeping fish that are hooked outside of the mouth when they swiped at a bait & missed OK as well? How about the guys that regularly sell their catch? OK TOO? Does planting acres of corn, soy beans, clover, turnips & setting blind or shooting house at the edge of these fields really anything other than hunting over a large bait pile? This guy cut corners & cheated for $! But it happens to some extend daily by some of your friends & colleagues every day! His actions are public knowledge & still has pending actions & consequences  in court. So while I don't condone his actions, I don't think this guy deserves the wrath of this site either! JMO

Saiff absolutely deserves the wrath of this site and every law abiding sportsman in the US. He has betrayed his honor and deserves any and all discipline that the federal and state courts deem appropriate. We , as sportspeople , need to send a message that this is unacceptable behavior. Boycott his sponsors and his business

  4. The Saiff "fleet " have been running rough shod over the eastern end of Lake O for years. I've had his boats start setting up within feet of my rig in the past. And then get on the radio and tell his other boats I am crowding him. The best answer to this is boycott his charter business and get the word out to others

  5. Mother. Nature will help you decide. 160 fow is at least 6-7 miles out from N Sandy inlet haven't heard a lot of reports. But browns should be available all along the east shore. Be careful Lake O is a small sea and can get nasty quick

  6. I was at both N and S pond. The beach is closed ( pretty much gone ) The state has a huge bucket loader in the S pond to feed a dredge that is pumping sand from the S pond to the lake side to keep the road from breaching

  7. I was at the pond on Friday. I believe that the ramp on rt 15 ( Riggis) was open. Very high water some boats docked State launch is closed. Most of the camp docks are not in or under water place is a mess

  8. If you don't see oil coming out the top hole when you remove the screw or need to add oil showing low on dipstick. The only safe way is to attach pump to lower hole and remove upper plug. Pump oil until it begins to flow out top plug hole. Replace top screw first and then quickly install lower screw All done. Any other way you risk too much or too little oil

  9. If its on land just remove the top screw and oil should start to creep out. Like I said you can always take the 4 bolts off the top with a 12 point wrench or socket and look down to where the overfill screw is and see where the oil is in relation to that.

Early Alpha 1 gen 2 had the dipstick in the center of the top cover. Check in down and level position be VERY careful taking the top cover off he upper gear housing. There are shims under the cover that set backlash on upper gears. Losing any spells catastrophe

  10. What year is the boat ? Mercruiser used several different ignition systems . Delco EST was used in 91-92   If you have an older delco system (points) , it may have been updated with an aftermarket electronic ignition . You have to identify the system you have before you can buy parts
