  1. I have a white and red 14 ft. Smoker Craft. I'm the a couple times a week.
  2. Not sure why the pics didn't work.
  3. Got out about 5. Trolled south in about 50 ft along the west side. Picked up this laker down 35 with a Copper & blue stinger. Got the smallmouth on the same thing same depth just south of mission pt. 19-1/2 inches long. Great fish. Both are still there for future fun.http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii30 ... 0_0049.jpg
  4. Fished from 7 to 11. Windy out of the North, so I trolled south. Picked up a couple 5 lb lakers on a smaller Stinger spoon. White and dark grey. 60 ft of water down 30 & 40. Got an 18 inch smallie that jumped about 10 times on a tiny dipsey out 150. That was a silver & black shad rap. White or grey seemed to be the color.
  5. My Lowrance X-85 is simple, and has everything I need.
  6. I use a B&W Lowrance X-85. Simple and affordable. Works great.
  7. Found some fish straight out in 75 to 100 Wed. morning. Rough looking bottom with some bait and big marks. Caught a couple med. salmon and a steely in 2 hours. Spoons. 2 more days renting and I'm out of there. Report when I get back. Firebiz
  8. I ran yellow and orange broke back Rapalas at Fair Haven 2 days ago just for the heck of it. Had a pretty good day. steelies and a couple kings. Sounde like I did as well as anybody was.
  9. The boat launches are filled every weekend with bass boats. The bass are on the beds. Can you tell me what you are learning, for later in the summer, by catching them off the beds? Do you think all the blue gills and perch in the shallows are not hammering the eggs after the fish is gone? Even if it's for a few minutes? Do you think it's good for the future populations? Not looking to raise a stink. Just wondering.
  10. Pretty much Rochester F.F.'s and family. Maybe a few friends. It was getting out of hand. We've had it for 16 years straight. Used to do it for local childrens charities, but the liability is so great, it wasn't worth losing my house over. Now it's just for fun and a traveling trophy. Used to get 70+ guys. I bet you could get twice that if you tried. I know Avon has one, but you never see a flier or any info. And it's til 2am. WAY past this boys bed time. See ya on the water
  11. The R.F.D had their annual pike derby on Conesus yesterday. Upwards toward 40 fish caught. One boat caught 19 fish and won with an 11.5 lb. pike. Next closest fish was 9+. Looked like most of em were caught near the inlet in the teens. I saw 2 caught in 30+ft. just north of there! Top water temp was 58. It really got going around 10 and after. Good luck.
  12. We went for pike Wed. 58 degree surface temps. Casted everything I had. A dozen followers, but no hits. Nice day though.
  13. Guys seem to hit the north and south ends. Troll around in 10 to 16 ft long lined. The big one's will come on big live bait.
  14. Gotta agree with Turp. Been going there for 15 years. Never been checked. There is no rule anywhere about having a motor hanging on your boat that you are not using, or cannot be used because of prop being removed. I love it there too, and will protect it any way I can. But until there is a rule in writing, that's the way it is. Don't make things up.
  15. My 150 Optimax is crazy good on gas. I can troll half the day on 6 or 7 gallons. That's no bull.
  16. 39 is cold! I'll be getting out later in the week. Time to get the browns in close!
  17. I have not found it anywhere that you can't have a larger motor on the boat, but not be using it. I fish there all the time, and I see it all the time.
  18. We watched the last of the ice go off Hemlock on Sunday. Anybody been out there after them yet?
  19. We got to Hemlock Wed. Casted everything we had at em. 2 small largemouths, lost a nice smally, and pickerel beat us up. very winy conditions made pitching a worm etc. impossible. The Merc was sputtering, so I might have to hang it up for the year.
  20. Going tomorrow. I'll let you know.
  21. I have been having a tough time with it too. A friend of mine goes there and uses the jig and pig. He kills em. I can't get the hang of it. Kind of a boring way to fish anyways.
  22. We should be seeing them in close at night soon. The top water temp was 70 last night. Anybody doing anything yet?
  23. Took 2 nice Kings off the mouth and lost a screamer from 7 a.m. to noon. One long lining and one down maybe 10 ft. Not a bad few hours and a good lunch at the Pelican. Life is good.
  24. Hot day! Fished hard for the 2 keepers we got. Lots of pickerel bites that cost me a lot of baits. Very slow. We'll get the riggers out tomorrow and give that a try.
