I used to have a temp probe on a reel that I would send down a cable about every 1/2 hr. It was very accurate and helpful even though it didn't offer speed at the ball. It cost me around $50. Haven't seen one in years. Love to find another! I have always found keeping my speed between 2.2-3.2 on my GPS enough for me.

The transom is 20 inches. Sorry, I thought that was in the ad.

Hey all, I am selling a 14' Lowe with motor and trailer. I have fished it from Iron Bay up to the St. Lawrence. Itis a great little boat, I just need to go a little bigger. Sorry no pics yet but I hope to have them added by Saturday. Some extras; Anchor oars 17lb Minnkota Transom Mt Couple Rod holders Other Stuff I am forgetting.... The boat has a little cosmetic bow damage from the "91" Ice Storm but it does not affect the ride and does not leak. I have 2 motors with tanks. A early-mid 80's 7 1/2 hp Merc and a 25 hp Mariner about the same year. Both motors run excellent. The trailer is a Loadrite that is reg'd as a home made. I have a spare for it as well. There is a full cover on the boat but it has a couple repairable holes. I am asking $1200 with the 7 1/2 Merc and $1500 with the 25 Mariner. If you want both motors $1750. All B/O I will try to get pics up ASAP. If somebody wants to take a look before the pics are up, the boat is in Greece.

Was the boat advertised for sale, or were you guys just inquirering? That would explain the inflated price...... If the original poster would like to contact me, I may consider selling, but the boat will look like swiss cheese after I remove all the fishing gear.

Sorry but I have to ask.... Why do you want what is basically a fishing boat, but not to fish in?

Very true! The market is flooded with decent boats at reasonable prices for various reasons. I have an 88 24' Crestliner Sabre HT w/260 Merc. with gear valued about 6k. I can't afford to sell it. The only good thing is while boats do not hold their value, similar to cars, they typically do out live them. I can't imagine 12k for a 14'er. HOLY CRAP BATMAN!!

WWIV Yeah I was fishing perch. Fishing came to pretty much a complete halt for just about anything 2-3 weeks ago. Really sucks because I gave up bow season because I enjoy fishing more. LOL

Thanks for the help all. I did make it out but not till evening. Total bust! Saw only 2 boats off the river. It was rolling pretty good out of the NE and it didn't take long for my first mate to turn green. There is always next time. Thanks again! Shawn

OK guys, pride be damned, I need some help. Heading out of the Genny tomorrow with the family around 6 am. Been out 6-7 times since spring and not a sniff. Also 3-4 last fall and same results. I am looking for colors, depth and speeds. Here is what I have: FF,Riggers, Planers, a couple Dipsys and Spin Dr's, various flys and squids. Lots of spoons but only a few recent ones. I do have a few various NK's, a couple Blue Dolphin DW, Glo Monkey PK. Older stuff like Northport Nailers,Flutter Spoons,etc all various colors. Plenty of J-Plugs! Here is what I don't have: Down Temp, Copper or LeadCore, and TIME! It is getting increasingly difficult keeping the kids interested. I know everything I have asked has been offered in many posts which I have followed faithfully with no luck. Thanks, any help is appreciated!
