  1. We fished the north end, mainly targeting pike not a pan fish but I always jig. We were in 5-10 feet I moved to a drop off to jig 11-20feet but still not a bite Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. We fished silver last Thursday Friday Sat 4 pike between 4 guys and not a single pan fish, very slow from what we typical do there. I’m going to hit up braddocks or the ponds with the kids today and try to jig up something for an hour or two . Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Well the B squared came today and I tossed it on. Initial fitment seems great, I’ll wait to see what gift cards come from Santa and I’ll throw a scope on soon and toss some slugs down range. I have a rifled Hastings barrel which loves the light field slugs $$$ Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Thanks for the info guys. I couldn’t find a Remington mount, but did find the B square so I ordered that. So hopefully the fit is good, then it’s off to buy a scope! And sight in for next season Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. I guess if they don’t mar up the receiver I’d be open to it. What mount do you have? Also have you had any issues with the scope moving? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Looking to buy a cantilever rifled barrel for my Remington 1100 LT-20 barrel. I already have a Hastings rifled barrel, but I’d like to scope it and not drill/tap the gun. If anyone has one or knows of one, shoot me a message Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. I just picked up my hot dogs Friday, they were excellent as always Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. I just dropped off some venison there last week, I was looking forward to hotdogs this week. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Rob if you’re not set on a set yet, check out cabelas MT050 whitetail extreme...bib is $299 and parka is $299...usually go on sale for $199. I’ve worn in the bitter cold and wind and I’ve always stayed warm with just a heavy base layer. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Hopefully your right about the big boys moving in this weather. Both kids with me tonight so anything is going to get smoked if we’re lucky Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. What are some of the issues with not shooting doe? Or problems you are seeing. Some say don’t shoot doe some say shoot as many as you can? Seems the guys I know shooting doe see bucks more frequently. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Nice food plots! I just added 3 micro plots behind the house last week before the rain. Mostly clover and a bag of whitetail institute no plow mixed in. This coming week it looks like Mother Nature will help us with some rain Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. I had a similar situation happen at bullzeye archery in Bloomfield about an 1hr or so from Hilton. The difference is He replaced the string no questions asked. However my nock Loop was tied on a touch low. So I made the hour drive again and Rich worked with me and the bow for 2 hours resighting, tossed in a drop away for free and then paper tuned to make sure I was 100% happy and had confidence back in the bow before I left the shop. It’s definitely worth the trip for service like that.
  14. Picked up a new Hoyt Powermax to start off the 2019 season. Hoping to put it to the test in Canada this sept on a big black bear. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Thanks stinger. The more I’m reading, it seems 180gr takes the guesswork out of it. But we will see what results I get. Thanks for the video also. I found a good site ballistics by the inch. They do a range of calibers in a wide range of guns and barrel lengths. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. Sk8man, thanks for the info. The gun has a 6.5in barrel and I plan to keep shots 50 yards and under. I’m headed to the range today to put a few boxes through the gun. I don’t plan to use the gun this season as I want to figure out the best round before I hunt with it. I’m also on the fence if I want to scope it just yet. I bought the gun as more of a dual purpose, target shooting and then bring occasionally in the deer woods. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I bought a .357 to bring in the woods with me a few times a year. My question is what’s the best round for deer? it seems split between 180gr and 158gr. So what’s better heavy and slower or lighter and faster. Any input would be great. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. It’s yours Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I have a hunter safety system, tree stalker XL harness. It’s about 2 years old. Would be good for a new hunter or youth. FREE to anyone in the Hilton area that wants it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
