  1. We had a family cottage in the Islands for 50 years. We sold it 2019. Although I miss it I’m glad we sold, the last 4 years it’s been “waters too low or waters to high”. Pay for water front to watch the boat sit on the trailer. Then this year waters too low. Of the 50years my grandparents recorded 2 floods, neither was i alive for, I’ll be 37 this year lol. Now my boat is wet docked 5 mins from home and gets used 10x more. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Well tilled up the kill plots for behind the house. Hopefully plant tomorrow and the forecast holds true that we have a few days of rain periods mixed in the come week. Odd/ frustrating note the Delta cam snapped a few pics, how last week when I mowed the trails not one picture of me on the tractor. So the jury is still out for me on the cam. But for $75 and not spending that in gas to check cams or hunt a dead spot I can’t be too upset. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. If anyone is looking for a decent cellular trail camera. Check out the moultire delta. I picked up two for $75 a piece. So far I’m pleased. I had some washout pics and moultire sent me a firmware update within the hour of me contacting them. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Thanks for the info! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. It’s on the buttonwood side looks like maybe they came out of the creek fast and made a hard right for some reason Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. I just put my boat in at Gibbs for the season and took a little stroll on braddocks, only to see this. Anyone know the story ? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. I never understood the new break wall, jetties seem to be the no brainer option. I had talked to one of the engineers on the project in passing and he said the outflow from buttonwood and salmon would naturally push the sand out of the channel. I can only assume he’s not local to the area and has never seen those two creeks in the middle of the summer. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Braddocks is the worst, however being 5mins from home, Its nice to have it slipped there. Gibbs seems to be putting an honest effort in to make it better year after year. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. You should try walking out from burger park, I’ve done it a few times with some success, just a long as walk. As long as there isn’t sleds ripping the channel you’ll have the place to yourself Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Plenty of parking in braddocks just drive around the cones and park Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. I fished cranberry yesterday not a bite. Long pond didn’t have a soul on it, fished braddocks last week with a decent crowd and not much happening(I caught a few dink perch and no pike). Tents on braddocks were pretty far out yesterday just about in line with buttonwood creek. I bay seems to be the best bet for local
  12. We fished the north end, mainly targeting pike not a pan fish but I always jig. We were in 5-10 feet I moved to a drop off to jig 11-20feet but still not a bite Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. We fished silver last Thursday Friday Sat 4 pike between 4 guys and not a single pan fish, very slow from what we typical do there. I’m going to hit up braddocks or the ponds with the kids today and try to jig up something for an hour or two . Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Well the B squared came today and I tossed it on. Initial fitment seems great, I’ll wait to see what gift cards come from Santa and I’ll throw a scope on soon and toss some slugs down range. I have a rifled Hastings barrel which loves the light field slugs $$$ Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. Thanks for the info guys. I couldn’t find a Remington mount, but did find the B square so I ordered that. So hopefully the fit is good, then it’s off to buy a scope! And sight in for next season Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. I guess if they don’t mar up the receiver I’d be open to it. What mount do you have? Also have you had any issues with the scope moving? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. Looking to buy a cantilever rifled barrel for my Remington 1100 LT-20 barrel. I already have a Hastings rifled barrel, but I’d like to scope it and not drill/tap the gun. If anyone has one or knows of one, shoot me a message Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. I just picked up my hot dogs Friday, they were excellent as always Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. I just dropped off some venison there last week, I was looking forward to hotdogs this week. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. Rob if you’re not set on a set yet, check out cabelas MT050 whitetail extreme...bib is $299 and parka is $299...usually go on sale for $199. I’ve worn in the bitter cold and wind and I’ve always stayed warm with just a heavy base layer. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. Hopefully your right about the big boys moving in this weather. Both kids with me tonight so anything is going to get smoked if we’re lucky Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. What are some of the issues with not shooting doe? Or problems you are seeing. Some say don’t shoot doe some say shoot as many as you can? Seems the guys I know shooting doe see bucks more frequently. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Nice food plots! I just added 3 micro plots behind the house last week before the rain. Mostly clover and a bag of whitetail institute no plow mixed in. This coming week it looks like Mother Nature will help us with some rain Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. I had a similar situation happen at bullzeye archery in Bloomfield about an 1hr or so from Hilton. The difference is He replaced the string no questions asked. However my nock Loop was tied on a touch low. So I made the hour drive again and Rich worked with me and the bow for 2 hours resighting, tossed in a drop away for free and then paper tuned to make sure I was 100% happy and had confidence back in the bow before I left the shop. It’s definitely worth the trip for service like that.
  25. Picked up a new Hoyt Powermax to start off the 2019 season. Hoping to put it to the test in Canada this sept on a big black bear. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
