Has anyone tried the torpedo 19 strand 30# wire. They claim the wire is more flexible and will not kink easily.

Fishing Canadian Water for the LOC Important info
Mstrchf1 replied to rustyrat's topic in Open Lake Discussion
I just talked to the US Coast Guard, at Niagra river. They said if a small recreational boat enters Canadian waters but does not anchor or go ashore. It does not need anything except a Canadian fishing license. Since they would be the ones to stop and check you, I will go with what they say. -
Trailer For 26' Starcraft Islander
Mstrchf1 replied to Pierless's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
I had the same problem with 2 different trailers. If you have the trailer registration card from pa. from the guy who sold you the trailer. It should have the manufacturer and the serial number on it. Just cantact the manufacturer with this information and fax them a bill of sale. They will send you a new sticker for the trailer with all of the appropriate data. I did this with both a yacht club and a lod rite trailer. The manufacturers are very helpful. Good Luck -

Mstrchf1 replied to Mstrchf1's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
Update: This is a really good downrgger it is very much like the cannon uni trol made for salt water use, but only used in the great lakes. The parts are inter-changable with some cannon electrics and it can be converted to an electric model. It has seen very little use. -

I guess I should have been more specific on the rubber bands I also use a # 16 when using spoons and a #28 or 32 when using flashers. If you also fish for Walleyes a # 12 will work great with spoons but you can't tighten your riggers down as tight. I also use band busters but designed my own.
