  1. fished south end of cayuga, slow day and what was caught were small. heading into treman spoted a PILE of fish stacked up on the bottom. 120 fow right at the drop. dropped port side rigger until it hit bottom then dropped starboard rigger until it hit. port rigger releases ,bring a foul hooked eel into the boat, return two, bringing up ball and starboard fires, no one home. finish bringing up port rigger, bigest eel i have ever seen stuck to the ball , flop him into the boat return two back to the lake. bring up the starboad rigger and this one has a eel stuck to it. left everything in the boat and headed home. CREEPY
  2. fished fri. did really well on the rainbows, 280-340 fow. 80-110 down. blk/silver & watermellon. down speed 2.2-2.8. south troll was the best.
  3. sat. morning was a tough bite for the blue bubble but got things fired up from noon till 7ish. the hot set up for me was a silver doodger parked at 70 ft. (this only took a couple of fish) the other rigger was parked at 77ft. with a stacker rod 15ft. above it. silver fish were caught out deep (on the turns) and lakers were on or near the bottom in 80-90 fow. lost count on totals but was over 20 fish. silvers were 2-3 lb. lakers were in the 5-7 lb.range. did break two fish off untill i removed the 8 lb. floro leader. black/blue , green/black and silver with green glow tape. all 3 inch california plastic. down speed 1.4-1.8 down temp. 53 deg. north troll was better than south troll picked up and ran several times to stay with a north troll.
  4. should we launch at frog hollow or clute park??
  5. where is frog hollow ,north end south end or inbetween??? will be fishing with splitshot thanks rollie
  6. my boy over slept so it was another solo trip, launched at meyers headed to the west side, set up just south of the boy scout camp, before all rods were in fisrt rod fires. small bow (2-3 lbs) on the ugly orange spoon. trolled north and never moved another rod for hour. then the bite started and stayed steady. the farther north the more bait and fish being marked. turned around at sheldrake and headed south, slower pick but still steady.headed to east shore and found the WEEDS. after clearing lines several times pulled rods and ran in to load boat.biggest fish was a laker just over 10 lbs.all fish released to fight again. greens and watermellon colors did most of the fish.
  7. launched from meyers (9:30) and went to the west side. clean water but no fish! continued north and found bait and fish at the tee-pee(ask splitshot). mag. spoon in a bright orange (stinger) did all the bigger fish 8 or 9 lbs, steady pick of 5 or 6 lbs. on flasher fly, gator glow spiny with big weenie proctoligist. wind came up so i turned around and trolled south still on west side. hit 2 rainbows just before boyscout camp and dropped a jumper ?? all with in 10 mins.dream weaver super slim in the get-r-done did the bows. lost bait and fish south off the point, loaded boat about 3:00 for the trip home.
  8. blue bubble is in, hopefully with the lucky lady. (angie)
  9. thanks for holding "YOUR" line and pushing me into 9 fow water. boat will turn to avoid a scum line but won't turn to give a little room to a smaller boat!!
  10. i have mounted several yotes that were over 40 lbs, and they look huge. long legs, long hair and no body fat. they also have a strange looking way of running when there not full out trying to avoid a load of double "o" buck shot. next time stomp on the gas and run over it then you can be sure it was a fawn eating machine!! ( yes i do dislike them)
  11. tourny time is finally here. heading up in the am. with a couple guys i work with, gonna take splitshots advice and fish were i know the fish aren't! this way i hope to avoid cacthing the biggg one during pre-fish.good luck to all that are fishing and will see you at the weigh in if not before....GOD bless rollie (blue bubble ch. 68)
  12. where does the no wake start.. at the break wall.. at the bridge...i don't fish seneca all that much and always wondered where it starts. thanks... rollie
  13. late start as my son never set his alarm, launched at treamen, west side. very slow one laker one small L.L. crossed over to hit the point at meyers. nice L.L. 3-4 lb. off the 35 ft. rigger. reset rod fires with a small laker, reset, rod fires on the way downanother small laker. out side flat line starts sceaming drag. lost this one?? trolled south , nothing, trolled north, nothing, trolled south and started to pick up rods. left the 35 ft. rigger rod for last. when we picked the rod up and went to release it i thought it was wrapped on the cable, nope it was a very nice laker 10+ lbs. don't know how long she followed the boat with a hook in her mouth. never saw the rod twitch, bump or dip. released her at the side of the boat and asked her to hang around for the barney spring derby.
  14. launched out of treamen,10:00 start. ran out to 50 fow and set rods. 4 off the boards 2 on riggers. west side heading north. steady but slow pick until we hit 50 deg. surface temps. then it all shut down. swung the the boat around and headed south, slow steady pick when we got back in the 52 deg. temps. got blown off around 2:30. kept 5 fish 2 browns one 5lb. one 6 lb.; 3 L.L. . highlight of the day was a large L.L. or rainbow that spent more time out of the water than in it! hit the prop wash and dove into the rigger cable .swam away leaving the stick bait hanging on the cable. only one small fish on the riggers everything else came on bronze/silver sticks. 100 ft. behind the boards. 50-90 fow.
  15. i am defentally interested in this , but think the obsever idea is not needed, who wants to ride in a boat fishing all day and not be able to touch a rod, none of the people i hang with!! cooler and live well checks with some sort of sticker is a much better way. once your checked you can not leave the start area or leave your boat . no docking during fishing hours. also is this a 100% payout or we fishing to help a charity. one more question is about the number of people per boat ,can two fish and run only 6 rods??
  16. final flight

    ICE?????

sandy pond has 8 iches, henderson harbor has 6 inches. long ways from sodus but if your into it ??
  17. manufacturing defects is the reason i will no longer wash any spoons made by a certain company, when the paint falls off taking it out of the package they can kiss my butt. the point being i did not blame the store where i bought them. i live 40 min. from dick's and gander mtn. but drive 90 min. to hill's... great selection, good people and average prices. my two cents..... GOD bless rollie
  18. fished the south end of cayuga on sat. with charlie(fish buzzard)aboard the blue bubble . about 3:00 something caught my eye on a planner board. fisrt thought was "it's just the waves" then i saw it again, then again. i told charlie "i think a fish just hit the planner" we both watched as it hit it again, then again!! we laughed it off as a really stupid fish, 30 seconds later the reel starts sceamming line out. charlie grabs the rod and the fight is on. 10-15 min. later the fish hits the deck. 37 in. northern. 11-12 lbs. this fish took a 1 1/2" crank bait on 8 lb. line flat lining in 12 ft. of water for browns. we also did a 25 in. L.L, 3 smaller L.L. and another smaller northern.
  19. will be going out of tremen around 10:00 ch. 68 blue bubble give me a shout and i'll let you know if were doing anything
  20. depends on your boat draft, they have the lake draw way down, i will be launching out of treaman around10:00 hope the canal is still open out to the lake! good luck ---ch. 68 --- blue bubble
  21. don't forget the florocarbon leaders and the smallest snaps in you box!!
  22. kudu's to you for pullin copper the "old" way. i'm more of a let out 300',400'or 500' and set back and watch the rod tip. splitshot is a hands on guy too, showed me a few things on putting big ones in the boat, but i fish solo quite often so pullin is not an option on windy days.sutton singles i beleive?
  23. i was tied to the wall at taughannock on sat. finder was reading 9.2 ft. of water. don't think i would try wading there (LOL). water is gin clear to were you can see your flasher at 30+ ft. so i would go with a 9 ft. 2x floro. tippet. did see some fish busting bait in the shollows right on Crowbar point (inside the red can) 2-3 fow?? good luck and keep us posted. GOD bless rollie
